Squirrel brain overpressure

Got four ground squirrels today, but this one was the most memorable. FX .30 Bobcat 44.75 gr JSB at 880 fps 41yards. Went in at an angle as you can see from the stick I inserted into the wound channel. The pellet must have struck skull bone since it didn’t exit but instead pressurized the brain and almost popped the opposite side eyeball out of its socket. Sounded like a baseball bat hitting a watermelon . Instant DOA.

There's no way in hell that pellet didn't exit. .177 at 18 FPE goes right through the skull 100% of the time.

You're talkin' about .30 cal. at 77 FPE. It exited all right. Probably out his mouth. Did he have all his teeth? :)
