Sony AX700 camcorder

Well I gave up on my sony rx100v camera and sold it. Even though I have had some great help from members on this forum, the camera just did not have enough zoom for me to see fine cross hairs in the woods and could not get use to looking threw the view finder. Plus the 45 second time after the shot to buffer the video was not too appealing to me along with only being able to record 4 min of 4k video before it overheated. For the price , I just didn't see myself using it enough to justify.

Here is my new plan. My family is of need of a video camera. Started looking at ones that can record in 1080p at and over 240fps. This model does. It also has a 62mm lens that I believe with step down rings from amazon ($18.00) it can get to the 50 to 50.5 mm size of my eagle vision kit.

This camera has killer image stabilization. You can almost run with it while recording and video looks as if you are not moving. The down side it is almost 2 pounds with battery. Probably not a good idea to be hanging off my scope eyepiece. I will need to make some type of support from stock to camera for support.

The lcd viewfinder is almost same size as an I phone, and the zoom is 18x not 2.5. So getting clear reticle should be a problem.

Anyone tried any type of video camera before? Or am I wasting my time.
