Sig Sauer CO2 rifles

I just got my new hawke vantage sf scope on Friday from pyramyd air and in the box was of course the gun mall catalog. Well right on the cover I see a sig rifle...pretty badass looking too! Sure enough, it sounds as good as looks. .22 with a 30 round PELLET mag? Does anyone have any Intel on these rifles? Are they going to just be for plinking or will this actually have some hunting capabilities? If sig can actually make the bridge they seem to be building between powder burners and air...we are in the verge of air gun history!

This truly is the golden era of air guns!

If anyone knows anything about the release date of these rifles or if someone is going to do a true test of capabilities, please share!

Ya those are pretty cool looking guns! Does anyone know who actually makes them and where? I have a "Browning Leverage" .22 under lever springer and it is not made by Browning. Made in China and imported by Umarex. Would be nice if Sig actually makes them but for the price I'm skeptical. Would make a great plinker! I'm sure someone will figure out how to hot rod them soon enough.

Sig actually does make the rifles and they claim they are the same size and weight as the powder burner version. Sig also says they will be making these in PCP versions next year and THAT will be sick. Don't get me wrong, I like CO2, I use it in my disco all the time because I get more shots. But if they can make this into a functional PCP then I'd buy one. By functional I mean that you could shoot 30-50 rounds out of the gun without having to refill the air. During Rick Eutsler interview with Sig at the shot show they talked about how this was a semi-auto action and if that is the case, there is no reason why this gun shouldn't be as accurate at the discovery or maybe a little better!

I guess only time will tell!
