Side-Shot

Very helpful video, thanks for posting. I have this app on my iPhone 7 plus and am looking forward to using your method of using your settings in Filmic Pro and the Side-Shot.

I've being playing with my Side-Shot scope cam and a free editing app Splice. Video is at 50 yards of a RAW HM1000X .25 cal taken with iPhone 7.

Just purchased sideshot. Anyone experienced it with Samsung s8?? I have a hawke sidewinder mounted on my royale 500. 

Tested the side shot with samsung s8. It was pretty ausum. However, it can get better if i play with camera settings more as i am unable to focus on the reticle sometimes. 

No issue using a single shot tray with a Side-Shot for my RAW.

Any idea how to focus on the reticle. There are times when the reticle is blurry.

Press and hold your finger on the phone screen on top of the reticle to lock the focus on the reticle.

This is a real pain to make it in focus using standard camera. It has auto focus and that is it.
I am using ProMovie, it allows to set all parameters manually, which is great.
One thing that sucks though is 1080p 240fps is not supported yet on iPhone 8. 720p only.

I did recently on my samsung s8. Firstly i took the parallax to the minimum. Reticle is crystal clear once the parallax is set to minimum and once the reticle is in focus you can lock the focus amd after that you can correct the parallax of the scope. That worked for me. Will be further testing it this week

Here is another little video I put together using the Side-Shot and iPhone 7 Plus. I have found I get the best results when zooming in with the phone to 1.9 magnification. This keeps the primary camera on the iPhone on then I just do a tap and hold on the iPhone screen to lock in the exposure and focus. Not as good as Hajimoto scope cam granted but I do like the instant feedback and ease of edit of the smartphone and Side-Shot. I nailed a nice squirrel the other day that I will work on putting together in a video soon.

Anyone still waiting for their side shot? Ordered mine 8/28, order number 321 and haven't heard anything from them yet....

I just ordered one the middle of last month, the 15th to be exact and I was #352. I received it before the end of the month. You might want to give them a shout.

Emailed them and they said they haven't received payment yet. But my paypal shows paid, so had them checked their paypal and showed received. So they have some kinda technical difficulty on their end. Said will ship out first thing monday.

You can use the stock camera settings without any issues. I have been using android and its working flawlessly.

I’m using FlmicPro and it has many useful feature including presets and lens setting which allow the images to be “flipped” back as it’s recording. This app is available for both iOS and Android. 

I wanted to use FlmMic pro but can't find it in the Google play store. I will keep researching for a solution. Thanks for the help.
