1/4'' steel Backstop Completed!

Michael, I guess we're on the same range building schedule. Just completed a 50 yard addition to mine. I now have 150 yards! (exactly, according to laser). The 5 white spots you see in this pic are 50, 65, 75, 100 and 150 yards. The 150 is the little speck to the left of the biggest white speck (24"x24" at 100yds). Now that I see that 150yd speck out there, I'm starting to question my sanity.

Love the stealth, quiet steel backstop!

Very nice Michael. Here is one that my son and I built back in Dec.,and I just recently added legs and some tires for sound deadening. This is also 1/4" with a 4"pipe as a stop. Before the legs I had it sitting on blocks and it was very loud,so I installed the tires and it really helped.I then found an aluminium cup that fits on the bottom of the pipe to catch the lead.Obviously this one required some welding, which I am not a pro at ,but it was a fun project,I originally saw a video of someone building one of these out of heavier steel for powder burners.I hope my pictures turn out as this is my first time posting.

That looks brilliant! Only problem for my part is my back yard isn’t big enough so I need something that can be installed when I want to shoot and then removed and stored when I’m done

seems like everyone is using steel, but 1/4” polycarbonate sheets are meant to do the trick also, and would be very light, but before I order a sheet as they are pricey has anyone tried this ?
