I now have my scope mounted and want to remove the sights. The rear sight is no problem but the front sight is being stubborn, I removed the set screw but it's still very tight. Will heating it help?

It can help but do consider if the sight has any plastic it could get damaged. Mine is 100% metal and the airgun is a few years old model. Try WD-40 lubricant or a similar penetrating lubricant first and give it time to seep into the jammed area.

One horizontal set screw at rear of hood removes the hooded fiber optic from ramp. Vertical sets crew removed ramp which slides off end of barrel. There’s a bevel cut into end of Barrel to keep ramp in the right orientation so ramp won’t turn if you twist it. Once ramp screw is loosened or removed ramp should slide off. Try the oil if it doesn’t

I'll put some heat on it today. I removed the hooded sight then removed the set screw and it won't budge. Heat is my friend.
