RAW REPORT

"hynzie"whats u guys thought on the mtc rapier
That is a very interesting range finder and with Bluetooth, I see it's euros so what's that in dollars 300 or so? That's about what I paid for my Luapold range finder......I see it said smart phone but didn't see anything about iPad..I could see buying it if I didn't already have a nice range finder.

"hynzie"i like the tool i need to build my chest up ive nothing but the basics ,,,,gun pelletts riings scope range finder a few paper targets and a couple spinners my land is mostly woods about an acre two levels though no straight shot ,,so my wife wanted me to gat rid of swingset but i kept the two story little pirate tower ,,,4by5 on top gonna mske it my shooting tower so i can extend my range to close to 60 yards
Same concept, different magnitude. You feng shui your country estate; I feng shui my one-bedroom apartment. All in the name of all things airgun ;-)

I finally cleared the decks to make room for my tool chest (which is arriving today!) and my work bench. I couldn't believe I managed to move things around to make room. There was a fair amount of crap that had no valid reason for being in my possession anymore, so out the door it went!

I like to have objective metrics. So often subjective perceptions can be misleading. The numbers don't lie!

"hynzie"ill send a pic,,,the first shot surprised me,, i barely touched the trigger,,, the first day i shot my raw ,,,i waited to shoot ,,when the house was empty,,,wife and kids went to beach ,,, so i was in my doorway were i can stand when weather is bad and noone around,,,,well sweeping the wood floor in the doorway,,,i found a hole in the floor;; not cool, i make safety a priority,,,some will say its just a airgun NO its more than that and i would of been all over my son if he did this ,,so im showing them as a learning expirience also to never trust a safety ,,,had lost a friend in high school to booze and shotguns,,,anything thats possible will happen somewere at sometime to someone pat
Yeah, I heard the RAWs come with a light trigger; @ eight oz. I like mine a pound.
I like 2-21/2 pound trigger for hunting, just feels right.
To each his own. My Impact came with a 2# 15oz weight. I found it distracting. I was finding myself being pulled away from my concentration on my sight picture due to the inordinate (IMO) weight of the second stage. When I have acquired the target with my optics, and I bring the first stage of the trigger up against the second stage, I want just a small squeeze to discharge.

"hynzie"u guys should watch the vid on the mtc rapiar range finder not only do u get a rangefinder ,it also comes wgith a micro ear bud then u go to the app ,,,and when u range find it will b set up for ur rifle ,,it will tell u demo,,,,,3 clicks up 1 click right and boom right on u are
Yeah, but by the time you go through all that crap, the bunny has moved on.

I think if the technology is there and say your out on a elk hunt and you see a elk and it's sitting broadside at 450 yards(but you don't really know)and you've done your part to get close, this rangefinder would be nice especially if your shot was up/down hill or across a small valley it would probably make your shot a lot better then a guess......a lot of variables here with shooter and equipment.....just like Chairgun,Spot On or any other technical program out there you need to become efficient with it before you use it in real world situations or else it's just a gimmick that you either don't understand or never put the effort into making it work for you....

Decided to see what the Marauder .25 would do at 100 yards today so I took 1st shot hit low, adjusted scope and then hit high, adjusted scope down 1/2 way and a few clicks to the right and then this is what happened, I was going to shoot 4 more buy my son double loaded his 22 Marauder and messed it all up so we packed up and came home and I then fixed his .22 but we decided to stay home, back out tomorrow,

My son and I went out shooting today at our range, need to get the .25 Marauder dialed in for golfball shooting next week, started to get 100 yards dialed in then my son double loaded his .22 Marauder and it was all over, he got mad so we loaded up and went home, fixed his Marauder so now we're going back out tomorrow to finish up sighting in the .25 Marauder for the golfball challenge and then get some rounds through the .357 bulldog also.
