RAW REPORT

Awesome find! I like that one a lot-thanks for sharing that! Now if they just made one of those with an extension that had a QD sling stud mounted I would be all set for a bipod or sling...

Or does anyone happen to make a QD sling stud that mounts onto a Picatinney rail? That might work also...

"Sell682"Guys guys , it’s only paper painted green . Nice write up Sean now you have to do more...
Thanks-I appreciate the nice feedback. I wouldn't mind writing a service manual or procedures for commonly performed maintenance and adjustments some time. I just don't want to tear apart my own guns to learn how to do them. Perhaps I'll ask Martin if he would like that some time-it would probably help him have a starting place for answering customer's questions without always having to write up or talk to them on the phone.

Just a thought...

I really like just picking them up and going shooting. I'm sure some people like the interchangeability and that is a great option as you are always using the same trigger and stock set up and scope. You don't have to deal with any differences that my be present. That is a big plus.

I'm a spontaneous shooter and when the right animal shows up out back I want to grab and go.

"SMH77"
"Imold"Amen Brother hahaha....Why buy the barrel kit when you can just get a complete RAW right...Although Sean does make some good points about getting the barrel kits and it does save some money....
While true about multiple barrels / calibers, the best way to do it is to have multiple guns set up and dialed in for each desired caliber / setup. Just sayin...
Sorry Craig, I know you're looking for someone to back you off the ledge, but...
If you want to save money, get the barrel and probe-it's a simple swap-and re-sighting-in doesn't take long at all. If you want to do it right, get a new gun! :)
Sean

Sean,
Thanks for your kind words. The ledge is only $2,400.00 of so high. I'll be ok.
By the way I did send an IM.

Sounds to me Sandra is dropping you a hint if you want your rifles sooner than don't call every week expecting to talk to Martin. Just by following this thread i can't believe the amount of times some people call them...Can you imagine if everyone did that. Its almost like some people buy a RAW just to rub elbows with the owner.I would think Martin needs to concentrate on building rifles and Sandra can answer most peoples questions without taking Martin away from his work.Shaking my head over here.

You could be right about calling.the only perperson i have talked to over there is sandra havent talked or asked to talk with martin since the day i ordered 9 weeks ago and the last 2 times i called i was. Told too ..you think when your spending $2500 on a custom rifle u have the. Right to ask questions. .the head shaking part they make medicine for that .😌

"Joekrooz"Maybe you guys can answer a question for me while I am waiting for a reply from RAW. I placed an order exactly a month ago and I haven’t received an invoice and my credit card has not been charged down payment fee yet. Does this sound right or did my order get lost in the shuffle somewhere?
Martin has worked on the ‘honor system’ with taking orders-he doesn’t like taking down payments for guns. He takes you at your word when you say you will buy a gun, puts your order in, and then contacts you when it’s available to ship (and requests payment then). They usually give instructions for doing a wire transfer for the gun when it is ready (which is how I pay typically). For lesser amounts, she will take a credit/debit card. Having said that, don’t misunderstand what I saying to mean they ‘won’t’ take a CC-I just haven’t paid for a complete gun that way yet.

Hope that helps answer tour question?

I’m in the same boat, I just like to grab and go, used to do things to my ARs but stopped that to and now all my weapons are grab and go besides with all the nerve damage and numbness in my hands and fingers it’s hard to work with small screws, orings and what not, just better for me if it’s a grab and go as I call it

You should of got a confirmation email and number from Sandra about a week after you put your order in with her to confirm your order and to make any changes you see fit and if she hears nothing back your order is put in line with the rest of the orders and the 12-18 week wait begins, my 1st order took 23 weeks but I have it now and it’s not going anywhere.
Every once in awhile a used RAW comes up for sale and you can get it a bit cheaper and faster if you trust the seller and don’t mind buying used.

Now that I’ve been shooting the HMx 30 with a Walnut stock I went and grabbed my HMx357 with the Laminated stock and my goodness I thought I was grabbing a brick, can’t belive the weight difference between the two, can only imagine what a .25 or .177 feels like but anyway after a short while the 357 isn’t all that bad Just beefier. I’m getting a virus and it’s called the RAW....

the 30 is my favorite cal ,on all a g ,,just love the caliber was shooting the polys yesterday ,learned a big lesson and was very lucky shooting at a wood deck 40 yrds out ,i had a pellet come straight back at me off the forearm ,,no glasses on ,i wont shoot another bb or pellet gun if i have no eye protaction on ,,bad enough i have close to no vision in my right eye ,,i have some shooting glasses gonna order more

I was just doing a headcount on some of the rifles I have here currently most of them are mine
The top 1 a 30 caliber custom customers rifle the stock and scope our mine and vortex, 22 caliber below it all custom below that mine the red one left handed action 20 caliber stock that I did , Below that my twin tanks Dawson action in 30 caliber aRapid MarkII Action that I have parts for and plan on building a small compact , the RAW 25 caliber also in a CST stock Then one of my Dawson actions with the titanium reservoir carbon fiber shorud in 25 caliber I’m the owner and was going to build to sell it but I kinda like it then a 22 caliber with AZ bottle Dawson action customers gun he’s probably waiting for it I need to finish the baffling and then some stocks that I have laying around I’m left-handed so the left one is the only one I really want to keep
