So I replaced my 500fps Daisy Powerline 880 with a 1200fps Crosman Optima. Harvested three cottontails last weekend, three head-shots. In all cases the Pellet went clean through the critter's skull. A very nice gun for the price, scope is ...okay, and a bit heavy at almost 7 lbs. But I like it!! Many thanks to all of you on this forum who have shared their experience.

You still would want that pellet to expand. Small pellet too high power. Use a hollow point or heavier pellet. Heavier pellets slow the speed down and hit harder. Predator polymag pellets are an option also, they open up with impact.

I think you mean Optimus? I bought a .22cal version for my son's birthday. Put the 3-9x32 scope from my Winchester 1400cs on it with a Hammers 4-bolt mount.
