Quit Screwing Around: Lets see those SPRINGER GROUPS

OK, some groups with my .177 R9 and 7.9 grain CPLs shot hunter class field target style sitting on a "bucket" resting the gun on cross sticks using holdover aiming.

Two 10 shot groups at 11 yards...........

10 shots at 18 yards...........

Does a fly at 25 yards count?............

30 and 40 yards..........

50 yards..........

Next 5 shots on paper.........

15 out of 20 CPLs through a 3/4" killzone...........

Unusually tight 5 shot groups for me at 50 yards.......

This 50 yard group was only 4 shots..........

How about 165 consecutive CPLs from 10 yards to 50 yards.......

Recently shot at 50 and 53 yards........

Most not "stellar groups" but I'm pleased!

Ok I quit screwing around. This is the first day with my first ever springer. After shooting about 50 rounds plinking with the nice open sights, I put the scope on (UTG/Leapers 3x9x50 True Strength). First target is sighting in. Later I shot similar groups at 25yds then some 3 in groups at 50 yds. Trying to get used to the artillery hold. These were shot from a portable shooting table w/7.9 grn Crosman HP's. Had it 3 days now and it's shooting better with H&N 10.56 domed. Really a fun gun (Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach1) very quite with the H&N's. Got this to get back into airguns, it doesn't startle the horses or dogs like the centerfire/rimfires we have. Hopefully I can master the hold and shoot better 50 yd groups. Right now it's just minute of my old Yeti cup.

"Rock-Steady"Thanks Joe! That's good advice, every time I shoulder the rifle now your words go through my head "Like shaking a woman's hand". My groups are starting to come together. After my chores are done, I get to shoot today. Maybe I'll have a good enough group to post it.
Hey, that looks pretty good there! You sound like me when it comes to shooting...been shooting firearms all my life, but am having to learn to shoot my Springers. I feel like a noob to shooting and get frustrated sometimes, but shooting the air rifles is most certainly a different kind of pleasure!

Thanks Crosman2016. I'm definitely am a noob to springers. It's kinda like when I got my first black powder rifle but harder, the bp gun frustrated me some, mostly with the loads and type of bullets but it was great fun.

My groups didn't get better today despite having 4 hours to shoot. The wind and the gun wore me out lol! Not used to worrying about the wind at 25/50yds with the powder burners. Something else to figure out, should make me a better shooter though. It will probably be awhile before any of my targets can keep company with the ones in this thread. Lots of great shooting.
