Planning to buy night vision. Need some advice

That might work. Well it dose in my mind. Two mirrors...The.first one docent have to be a 2 way. i would think 45 deg. would get you 90 another 45 would get you 180 deg. The second minor 2 way so you can see through the scope (just thinking out loud) CRAP Day only. You can't see IR. Was going to delete all of this but chose not to to show you how a old man mind works. (me being the old man) But day time..i think it works...Thoughts

LOL... ^^^

I wrote an email to NiteSite and here is what I found out:

"The frame rate for the R Camera is a steady 30 FPS and the resolution is 720p. Yes, you are correct, the live picture is transmitted via Wi-Fi to our NitePlayer App which is available on the App Store/Google Play."

I looked at the app (did not download it yet) and many people say it sucks. Who knows?! I would have to try it myself. However, I am not a big fan of having to use my phone as a monitor. I would rather record and use the scope to see what is going on... That said, I am going to try to build my own Eagle Eye and see what happens, ha ha.

The Nite Player app fails to work on Android. Only works on Apple/iPhone. I wish it is 720p...The manual states in writting it is 640. I havent tried mine yet. One can't use a scope with a NiteSite, app or no app. You must use the monitor; I find it very easy to use, don't have to shoulder the rifle. The app is to allow friends to view what you see. The transmit feature is always on as soon as one powers up the unit. Range is about 30 feet open air, like a WiFi SD card.

Viper Rtek records in 640 24fps. No 720 anything on my unit, the recorder module. I dont know what the actual retail Viper unit records at. I have the stand alone add-on for existing Viper owners that wanted record built in (plus the wifi).

For me, the capability to use day scope is a huge plus, and it really is light. The less amount of wires helps me too. If it was HD at all they would say so. Since the unit is 'looking' through another optic that could have any manor of optical qualities, there are too many unknows. 640 isnt bad still...an ATN is too heavy, too short battery life and very sketchy support. I like looking with both eyes on my NiteSite screen, worth it.
