Pigeons on silos a few questions from the pros

I got permission on a nearby farm that has extremely tall silos on it and not only would the shot be difficult at best but the land owner is not to keen on shooting off of it so my plan is to try to shoot them off the ground behind the barn, I was thinking I would by a bag of corn or scratch grain and put my 2 mojo doves in it and my half dozen dove decoys around it and then when I get some dead pigeons i would use them as decoys on coat hanger stakes that I made up....thoughts?
and here is the top of one of the three silos ...generally a few hundred birds on them at any given time

Sounds like a decent plan to me. Kinda like the idea of using the dead to draw in their live friends! :D :D
If you were shooting from the inside you may put a hole in the roof (still don't think it would) but from the outside there is no way. Still if the Farmer says no then the answer is no! Be nice to find a piece of metal that the roof is made from and see what the gun would do point blank and then from distance. Might be something to show the Farmer depending on how that goes. :)

the farmer is a woman in this case and to be honest I didn't want to question her at all or show any disrespect ...I think that actions speak louder then words sometimes and that after she sees how I handle myself that it may change but for now that's what she would like and I am happy to have this spot that is only a 8 min drive from my house
actually to be honest I think she was way more concerned with the huge array of her own animals that were under that silo ....she has four large dogs and they were all over me wagging there tails and climbing up for hugs ....she smiled and said there not generally all that friendly to strangers ...I just smiled back and said guess they know good intentions when the see them!
oh as a side note i could always turn the gun down to #2 or even #1 power position and there would be absolutely no chance of silo damage .... baby steps haha
thanks friends for the encouragement ...Acutus I will get some pic's of the coat hanger thingy-ma bobbers up for you to see!

Check out some videos of "Soar No More". They hunt pigeons with decoys in Idaho just like ducks. If you know where they are feeding you can set up there and shoot them as they come in to feed. I am sure the dove decoys and mojos would work until you can place some pigeons in your cradle. If the shooting gets good you may eventually look into their decoys. Could be a really a great setup. Hopefully there is a cattle or hog feeding troughs that the birds continually come to feed.
Happy shooting,

Doc

Crack corn is pigeon icecream, you put some of that out every so often you will get plenty. I live on the border of a closed dairy farm with silos and you will get your pigeons with the grain and decoys. Depending on the power of you guys guns and silo age you can punch through. Watch HuntersVermin out of Ireland on you tube, he loves to prop up his killed birds and bring in more to shoot. Wish there was that many here for shooting! something happened to all of them around here.
