I had a Gamo Whisper. Very frustrating! the hard sights were cheap and wouldn't hold zero and I ruined 4 scopes that claimed to be airgun scopes. I waited for some funds to build up and got the Cricket in 22. It out shoots me and no problem with the scope. Maybe the Discovery combo would work for your budget. Of course once you start shooting a PCP you'll be addicted and you'll have to really try to control yourself.

Took it out today to zero in the scope. After 4 or 5 shots i was hitting dead center at about 15-20yrds.It was blowing right thru the plywood as well. I was able to put 3 shots thru the same dead center hole and called it good enough for me lol. Next critter i see on the feeder will be the true test.
"Alan"I love it! On line reviews mean almost nothing. Being the amateur radio mobile operator that I am (see http://www.k0bg.com).... You should read the reviews on a Yaesu ATAS-120A. It is the lossiest, most trouble-prone antenna on the market, and yet it gets 4.5 out of 5 too.

Its hard for 800 people to be wrong. 6 or 7, like the number of reviews on the item u mentioned, is a different story.
