pellet spiral (update)

Hey guys. So here's what I found. When I load a pellet by hand and push it thru the barrel its fine. But when I load a pellet either by hand or thru the mag, push the cocking lever forward, the pellet probe pushes the pellet into position until the skirt ends up in this groove, but the pellet probe still travels forward a little crushing and deforming one side of the pellet. I tried moving the barrel forward just a little but then the transfer port isn't centered in place and the velocity is affected . I s there a way to move the pellet probe back a little? Any suggestions? Thanks. Eddie

I may be wrong here but I think adjusting the probe travel may lead to another issue. There is a hole/cut on the probe that aligns with the transfer port. If the probe is too forward or rearward that alignment the probe may not align properly causing deviation in velocity. As per FX the measurement from the side of the breechblock to the end part of the feeding pin should be between 28.55-28.8

Thanks hsnmz. I'm aware of the hole in the feeding pin lining up with the transfer port. The amount I need to adjust it is just a couple millimeters. I put a little mark with a sharpie on the probe to make sure its lined up properly. Im also going to put it over the chrony. My pellets were also getting clipped ( on the endcap) but I think because of this issue. I will find out a little later. Have you made any progress? Have you been able to push a pellet back out the breech after loading to inspect? Good luck my friend and thank you. Eddie

Took the compensator to a machinist. He measured the bore to be 7.2mm which is thr correct size but he also indicated that the bore is not aligned properly and that's the reason why pellets are clipping it. Straightened the bore and it is now 7.5mm. Have shot a magazine and it seems the clipping issue is resolved. Will be able to test it at 50 yards range on coming weekend.
