has any one painted a synthetic fx stock? I want to maybe hydro dip the stock, shroud, tank cover and maybe the air cylinders if I can mask off the valves properly.

I hydro-dipped an MK1 synthetic stock. But the newer MK2 synthetic stocks have a "soft touch" coating on them. I'm not sure if the paint will adhere to the MK2 stocks. You may have to sand the soft touch coating off first.

I called AOA and asked about painting the soft touch coating and they said google it so I did It's kind of funny, when you google search it this thread comes up.

I'm currently in the process of using Plasti-Dip on one of my rifles and stock. Best part is, you can simply peel it off and revert it back to original.
