Ok Joe Rhea you talked me into getting a springer

"blackdiesel"Who are the resident RWS experts? I scored a RWS Diana 350 magnum recently and it need a little tender loving care. I've been totally into PCPs and this is my first real springer. It's missing one of the stock screws but it shoots pretty good. I want someone knowledgeable about these guns to go through it and tune it for optimum performance.
Caliber?

If you want to have it tuned. "John in PA", he has tuned a D48 and a D460 for me. He is very, very good. Tunes for what you tell him you want. If I sent him a Ford when I got it back it would be a Jaguar.

It's a 22 cal. Just a couple of scuff marks on the wood . Overall in pretty good shape. So far I like it. It rained like cats and dogs here but I set out a couple of cans at 25 yards and was able to shoot from my rear door from the garage. Surprisingly the scope was on target enough to hit the cans. I should be able to shoot it more next week.

"addertooth"All springers I have ever seen can be enhanced by tuning, that said, one of the virtues of RWS springers is the fact they are darn good without the extra tuning step. Replace the screw and have some fun.
I am surprised how good the trigger is on this gun. I'm pretty sure I won't get rid of my PCPs for more springers but it shoots pretty good. I had a couple of consumer grade springers in the past- Kodiak interchangeable 177 -22 cal and a Benjamin Trail. So I actually learned to shoot springers fairly accurately (if 1" at 25 yards is considered accurate with those guns).
