Oil/Water Separator

I couldn’t read it either, I think it’s in Dutch but not sure. I’ve never seen those if they can handle 4500psi and accept standard filter cartridges it should be fine the cartridge the show just look like carbon filters I have the filter from Air ranks for sale their alpha filter. You also need the gadget they have on the inlet tha keeps the pressure in the cylinder as the filtering works best under high pressure. I get my filters from this site

This is the type of cartridge that most of us use. The pressure cylinders that are filled with loose filter material are not as good and can be dangerous most of the made in China cylinders are not certified for the pressures so be careful. I got mine with compressor in package deal it was $299 a lot of $ but it was the best proven one available that I could find.

This is what use on my air compressor. It comes with filter, but I put desiccant and 2 pieces of the filter that comes with it. I cut 2 pieces 11/2" long and put one piece on each end of filter tube and put the desiccanrt in between two filter pieces. It works, keeping the moisture from getting to my air cylinder.

That would work as far as acid formation the water absorbent media workers best under pressure my alpha filter has a valve on it were it won’t release air into the tank until there is a 2000psi in the filter at 2000 psi the media will absorb moister at lower pressures not as much I’m not exactly sure what you call that attachment it’s the gold thing on top of my filter

What are the internal measurements of this gold tube I’m curious if the cartridge I use will fit they are 1.16” in diameter and 8.75” Long you need it to be longer as a Spring keeps it off the bottom so it won’t get in the water that can collect in the bottom of tube.my filter has a bleed valve on the bottom so while it’s under pressure I can release the air and drain any remaining moister but inorder for that to happen you need to do this before you unhook your tank.

So the length is good because you want an air gap below. I wonder if you could just wrap something around the diameter to make it fit. Something other than a few layers of duct tape. Maybe a fat oring if there is such a thing. If we could make it work there would finally be a affordable cartridge filter housing. I jus need to figure out what they call that gold thing n top of my alpha filter. It may be a priority valve, not sure.

That thing on your Alpha is a priority or pressure-maintaining valve. The filter works best when pressurized. I think Joe's are set around 1900-2000psi. You can make your own cartridges out of pvc. There's a guy on the GTA that made pvc cartridges(for the gold import filters) filled with sieve or zeolite and the white filters that come with it at each end. You don't want the filter media to contact the walls of the cylinder.
