No limit rings???

I recently tried stretching out to 100 yards and I ran into some troubles. For reference I'm shooting a .25 streamline with a hawk vantage 6-24. I started the day with the gun zeroed at 40 yards. With the scope on 6x I was holding over 4 mils (my last Mil dot) to get out to 100 yards. As expected when I adjusted the scope to 12x I wasn't even on the target. So I figured I would re-zero the gun to 60 yards. I was quick to find out my vertical turret was maxed out at about 50 yards... Or was it? The POI stopped rising but the turret was still spinning without any extra resistance. In fear of damaging the scope I backed off and here I am asking for help.

Is it possible that my vertical adjustment is maxed out at 50 yards? Do I need no limit rings?
I could imagine some trouble teaching out to 200 yards but this doesn't seem right to me... Any ideas or comments is very appreciated!

I think the streamline is shooting at about 260 / 270 m/s which corresponds with maxing out the turrets at about 50 meters or so because the Hawke Vantage has a 1 inch tube if I recall correctly. The 1 inch tube has a very limited adjustment range. The easiest thing to do is indeed using the FX no limit or the adjustable sportsmatch mounts. If you ask me, the sportsmatch are easier to adjust but I don't know the availability near your area.
The speed of air rifles is way lower than most firearm rifles, with a decent caliber firearm you probably could have adjusted it up to 200 meters or so.

That the turret was still spinning is weird, normally the end of the range this feels like an ending in the thread, like screwing a bolt al the way in. If you force beyond that point there is a risk for breaking/damaging the scope so always be carefull with this.

I have the hawk vantage 6x24 scope and fx no limit rings on my R10 shooting 890 fps (.22). What I did was optically center my scope , zeroed my scope 3 inches high at 30 yards with the fx rings , then zero with the elevation turret (1/2 revolution down) then at 100 yds it is exactly 1 full revolution up !
The vantage has approximately 1 1/2 revolutions up and 1 1/2 revolutions down from optically centered. Works great so if fx rings are an option IMO great way to go.
