Anyone know where to buy the new rtec viper in the U.S.? It has several key features that I definitely want over the standard viper. Looking to purchase possibly next month sometime.

I bought my NiteSite Viper a year ago from shotgunblasters.com in Carrollton, TX.  You might want to start there.

NiteSite has an Amazon Store:  https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nitesite-911218-NiteSite-Viper-RTEK/dp/B01GRTOPQ2/ref=sr_1_2/256-5647082-5577934?m=A2GK87OEKM5W30&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1475955294&sr=1-2

Just tried the link above and still not available to ship to the US.  Hopefully soon as I plan on ordering the RTec as well.

I did not notice that was a Amazon UK site. Sorry. Once AOA gets done with Extreme Bench Rest I should know if they are available yet in the USA.

UPDATE: I am told today 11 OCT 2016 that the RTEK should be in the importers hands in about a month! In dealers hands shortly afterward. I don’t have prices yet though.

Does anyone have details regarding the max effective (accurate) range of the rangefinder body on this?

I want to have the ability to use it on powder burners as well so a 150 m range would be somewhat limiting for coyotes and wolves at night

A little birdie told me that the RTEK’s are on American soil in the importers hands but no pricing yet. More information to follow as made available.

You can get range finders very very similar to the Nite site ones for half the price………… that do 7 – 700 metres.
Bu you have to be aware that these range finders rely on you hitting your target with the strobe to range it………
I can post a video of one in action if you like. I also have a spare one if anyone ids interested……. Cheers

Wont any laser range finder work or is the NiteSite one special? My Leupold range finder can hit targets in dim moonlight.

NiteSite is not a range finder. It is a IR Night Vision Device that attaches to your scope!
The RTEC version adds recording capability!

no, there is another NiteSite device besides the top mounted night vision that is a laser range finder for use at night.
