NIKKO STIRLING SCOPES.

"POWERSHIFT93"I am looking at the Target master 6-24 by 50. I want to know opinions about Nikko Stirling scopes and not just the fact they are made in China.

The only one worth getting is the Nikko Stirling DIAMOND 10-50X60

Assembled in China, but with JAPAN Glass

All other Nikkos are assembled in China + Made in China glass = "MADE IN CHINA"

But since you ask about the 6-24 , see here: http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f18/nikko-stirling-targetmaster-6-24x-56mm-review-97840/

NB: I believe the Author is incorrect when he says glass is Japanese made; if that were the case, this scope model would also have "Made in Japan" - but doesn't

"The glass is coated in what Nikko calls “Mirolux”. After a little digging I found it is a coating that reduces glare and is actually the name of a meter that is used to test the amount of roadsign / marking reflectivety and a coating that is used on opthamology equipment. Some digging also revealed that the glass is made in Japan, assembly and distribution is through China."

Update - found a PDF : http://www.highlandoutdoors.co.uk/Nikko%20Stirling%20Oct%2010.pdf

Bottom line after more searching ? - seems like it does it's job for the price $ - so good value- however, be aware of the following on page 2 of PDF:
