New score Box

I'm not much into carpentry - but I asked a guy who's great with metal and wood, ( Paul Porch ) to make me up a back lite score box -
this is a preliminary unit - which I do believe will fit the bill so to speak ?

Paul changed the lighting to a single bulb that plugs in to 120volt -
Paul did say that future boxes would have thicker plexiglass-

I've stuck targets on an iPad with a white screen to score with TargetScan, but have to move the target to score individual rings. This is a big improvement. Nice idea.

I'm not familiar with target boxes but what protects the lamps behind the targets or more importantly wont the plexiglass shatter/crack should you hit it with an errant shot? I assume you're shooting pellets.

I do something similar... I use masking tape and tape the target to my monitor with a blank white screen, e.g. open notepad and maximize the window. TargetScan has the 25m and 50y targets already and does a pretty good job when the target has back lighting. I might have to rescan 1-2 bulls a card and correct 1-2 bulls out of (3) cards.

Hahaha! Pellet proof plexiglass?
But Satly's got it!
with back light and a magnifier could reduce errors ?
or we could simply shoot the box!!

Looks good Frank. So glad I introduced Paul to airguns. I've learned a lot from the ol' boy. Got a yard full of his metal targets too ;-)

That's him on the left shooting his Crosman Challenger FT setup and Mark Waltermire shooting his .25 Wildcat in the back yard last Saturday.

Thanks Guys! Paul really is a craftsman ! Love his silhouette's but can't bring myself to shoot em! Works of art ....
'weather has been really mild here. Need to get my rig back and start shooting regularly again! Did take out a tree rat today - used the Steyr silhouette pistol - posted photos on ole yeller ----
I notice that if I'm away from the paper for more than a couple of days I get really rusty --
nomojo65 - yah need to start buying stuff ! It's the itsy bitzy's that get you - swabs jags patches etc ---
its a real addiction, ain't it ?
