THE WAIT IS OVER! Check out the NEW AirForce Texan .308 Long Ranger shooting platform. This is the RJ-9A Ranger stock for the AirForce Airguns made by Mad Dog Custom Rifle Stocks. This is set up I have been waiting for ever since I hit the 350 / 423 / 600 yard AirGunDepot.com Long Ranger Golf Balls! I've got it set up with the .308 now - but when the .257 Texan is available I will be swapping it out.

I have been talking with Doug Russell at Mad Dog Stocks for months about this set up and it is finally a reality. In talking with Doug, he told me he was inspired by us long range shooters to come up with a shooting platform design that can allow us to take our AirForce Airguns out to extremely far ranges while maintaining a real sight picture with a proper cheek rest. Well - Doug NAILED it with this stock design!

In these pictures you will see that you can use the cheek rest all the way down resting on the bottle (currently zero'd at 100 yards) then it cranks it all the way up to work at 350+ MOA to take a 1000 yard shot (notice the Heritage Arms Inc. ColdShot elevated base set at 350 MOA)!

The 2018 Hawke Optics Frontier 5-30x50 Scope with TMX reticle has the flexibility and clarity to reach out to these crazy distances.

The Ranger stock comes with Picatinny rail in the front where I have it decked out with an Atlas 5-H Bipod and you can special order it with rail in the back too where I have an Accu-Shot Monopod both from B&T Industries.

Doug also poured molten lead in the front of the stock to keep the front end down when shooting the AirForce Texan - which we all know can kick like a mule for an airgun. In the rear the bottle is secured with the strap bolted to the butt of the stock for superior rigidity throughout the entire shooting platform.

She is a heavy beast for the bench - but I can't wait to take her out and stretch her beautiful Atlas 5-H legs. "dang" she is good looking! Keep an eye on their website as it will be available soon: Home[/QUOTE]https://maddogriflestocks.net/embed/

This rifle is intentionally heavy for a bench gun. He even poured lead into the forearm area to keep the gun down while shooting. She is a heavy beast for sure. I have the other new stock from Doug at Mad Dog coming soon called the Recon which looks like the Ranger, but is a lot lighter and more hunting / field appropriate. It gets here tomorrow and I will show pictures of that soon as well as soon as I have it set up. These can be set up on the Texans or he can cut them down a tad to fit Condors / Talons. Stay tuned.
