NEW - Kalibrgun Cricket Mini Carbine

"TDK"Kalibrgun is really bad with website updates. I saw this posted on GTA and guessing someone just happened to notice it trolling the krale-schietsport website. It is not on the Kalibrgun website.

It's actually on sale already. Odd.... We normally hear about these things from one of the shows about 5 years before they go on sale. Does anyone know when / if it will be coming to America? It looks nice and I like Kalibrgun so it's off to a good start!

I am so torn on these hybrid / bullpup / half breed / carbine designs. This and the Vulcan Tactic look awesome but is there a reason to buy one over the bullpup?

We need someone who owns a Vulcan tactical and the bullpup to give us a report. We know the Vulcan tactic will be accurate, nice, comfy etc but....Do they present the best of both worlds or the worst?

I haven't had the chance to shoot one yet so I'm trying to keep an open mind.

"jking"I really like this gun. I sold a AA 510 to help finance my next gun. Thinking of sticking to a 22 since I have a Tactic 25 and a FX 500 so it's now down to this gun or the new FX Streamline, I think. Who will be the US distributors of the Carbine? AOA?

Please can you tell us what you think of the tactic? I assume you like it because you are considering another hybrid but I would like to know why you prefer this style over a regular bullpup?

The mini carbine looks like it uses the same action and air cylinder as the Cricket BP 25. You are adding 2" to the overall length which is not a huge problem (makes it the same as a Wildcat 25). I am just assuming that something else in the design makes up for the extra length?

Guys, I don't think they are using the same air tube/barrel as the bullpup. It looked off to me, so I compared the ratios of cocking lever length to air tube length in pictures of different crickets. That value comes very close to the original carbine length air tube.

I think the stated specs may be wrong.

What I really want to see is how easy it is to cock with the lever in that intermediate position. I think that is one of the biggest advantages to this layout over the bullpup, along with the more weight-forward balance point. If this is truely the carbine length air tube, I wish they had put the full length version on there. I'd take a few more inches for the increased shot count.

"Boombots74"Pretty nice!...........wait! Why did they move the lever further back again? The cricket carbine was in the right spot, right above the trigger. Sigh
The lever is in the same place on all Cricket guns. The action is just further back on bullpups and hybrids to shorten the overall length.

The real question is why they don't bring it forward like they do with the trigger.

Not on the carbine. Take a look. The lever is right above the trigger.
