I am seriously considering this compressor, but wondered if anyone knows if it has any water/ moisture removal capability on it?? Or am I looking at some type of aftermarket moisture trap like the diablo ??? Thanks

I'm interested as well. A lot less expensive than Omega Turbocharger which I've been considering for a couple of weeks. I have zero experience with compressors.

I just got a Super Charger. As for the AV compressor- I would wait to see how it performs because it look like a new dress on the mrodair (Chinese) compressor that have been giving people nightmares. It has the same charging times and the operating manual looks just like the mrodair compressor.

Pyramyd Air just e-mailed me that they carry the Air Venturi compressor. $1299, available for pre-order. Though, not sure I'd want one of the first off the line. Maybe let some other folks take the early models. . . . .

I see they have a deal on right now for the mkII version which includes moisture seperator for $975. I have heard some negatives with this company, and wondered if that was well founded or not?

In the past there have been a lot of complaints about follow-up service. They would import the guns and other items but if something was wrong they didn't service them. They said they are starting to stock parts and will be able to offer service.

I think an inexpensive HP compressor is a dream if your wanting reliable and fast fill with moisture removal.
Just search the mrodair compressor and you will see they look similar and probably both from China.

Moisture separator 200$ to 400$
Oilless Shop compressor 100$ to 300$ ish
Cheap route sub 1k but slow with good service and parts availability.
Altros 700$
Moisture separator 200$ to 400$
Shop compressor 100$ to 300$ or more up to you ,just how fast you wanna fill.
Cheap route 1k
Parts available and service seems good.
You can opt for the more expensive shoebox but cost will push 1350$ to 1550$ according to moisture separator you go with and if you already have an oilless compressor.

Good and fast HP compressors start around the 3k mark and go up from there.
But hey you never know could be a real gem.

I agree the new one looks like a new Modair compressor ,
I lucked out and got a Sheldon compressor a couple of years ago.
I do not even remember what I paid for it, Not cheap,
But the guy has been building compressors for many years .

When making these kind of purchases you have to prepare for repairs. I am certain, Pyramid Air would honor their products and have a decent repair service. It may look like Mrod and the Chinese compressor (and it probably is) but it is backed by a reputable dealer in this industry. If you have a problem with the compressor from China you most likely are S-O-L. You will have to check the reviews on Mrodair. I would gladly pay a little extra to deal with a reputable dealer.

Someone needs to do a tear down and reveal what was actually improved from its base, two cylinder family.
