Lighter 22 cal pellets in 600-650 fps in springers

I've shot the Baracuda Greens in my .22 R9, it loves them and shoots them very accurately. They seem a bit overpriced, at least at PA. The FTT Greens might be a little light for a springer. JSB has come out with a Lead-free pellet, Straight Shooters has them.
Of course you'll have to see if your gun likes them, only one way to do that. Something to keep in mind is that some lead-free pellets will not group if there's any lead in the bore, so clean your barrel before you test for accuracy. Pm me and I'll send you a few to try.

I've shot the H&N Excite Hammer in .177 in our Techforce M8 rifles and it does very well with these at 10-25yrds.(haven't tried to go any further)
I've also been shooting the Excite Spikes in .22 and they perform quite well for the money. I shot a one inch group at 50yrds with these in my discovery lately.
Keep in mind that I sort them by head size and they tend to be on the larger end of the scale but usually fairly consistent averaging three consecutive head sizes in the tin. For example 5.54-5.56.

I wouldn't expect them to keep up to a premium pellet like a JSB but they still perform quite well when you consider the cost savings but as with most things with air rifles it comes down to how well your rifle likes them.

Thanks for that guys. I've ordered a Walther LGV Challenger Ultra in 22 cal and it won't arrive in Aussie land until the end of January. I ordered it in November and its weird but i think it's coming comming from the States. I have read that the 177 shoots non lead light pellets very well and I was hoping that it's bigger brother would do the same. I live in the bush in Queensland and buy my pellets online (don't have to travel hundreds of klm's) and they arrive at the door. The only trouble is that we don't get much of a choice in pellet brand and selection.
I believe the Walther shoots around 625 fps and I was thinking that a lighter pellet would suit it better. Your right John the only way to find out what the rifle likes is to buy various pellets. I have two Trails the 177 really like the JSB heavies in 177 and the H&N Baracuda whilst the 22 shoots the Field Target and Trophy very well. Only trouble it's very difficult to obtain JSB's here.
anyway I'm really looking forward to getting my Hans on the Walther. I enjoy shooting at the limits of the rifles I own so I'l post a video once it's broken in.
