Lets talk about through the scope digital video cameras

He is using a Casio EX-ZR1500. The best frame rate to use for slow motion is 240fps. This is a good camera. I like the way the back of it flips up. That is very handy for use. Casio also has another model that offers the same feature I believe. If you go any higher on the frame rate for slow motion, the video quality is greatly reduced. You can also make slow motion from your standard video rate of 30fps. You would do that in the software your're using to edit the video.

I've noticed travels4fun just bought a Casio EX-ZR500.
Yrrah is using a EX-FH100
Matt on his You Tube Channel using a EX-ZR1500.

I'm looking into a Casio but with all the different models available I'm finding it difficult to decide on one.
I don't think I need a lot of fancy features just looking to capture video thru the scope and I like the Eagle Vision Cam hardware.
How do you like your cameras, what features do real like, if you were to purchase would you get something different?
Can anyone give some insight

I pretty much use my Casio for my rifles, but on occasions I use it for other things as well. I use it for my hunting construciton projects. It's easy to drop in your pocket and pull it out when you need it. I only use the video and standard camera features. I don't remember the model of the one I currently have, but I would buy the EX-ZR1500 as pictured above if I was buying again. At the time of my purchase, I didn't realalize that other models of the Casio would work with the Eagle system. I have been very pleased with the one I'm currently using.

"krasiml"In addition to the cameras which are used, it would be better to speak of software which processes video then.

Over the years I have used several. I now use Final Cut Pro X. A person can do a lot with this and it's easy to use. I use a minimum of 3 times a week. You don't need something as Final Cut to do simple videos. I have it on 2 machines so I can edit where ever I may be.

The Casio cameras work well, BUT there's a new kid on the block. Anyone heard of the Eagle Eye? It's a GoPro mount that uses a series of mirrors and enables you to look through the scope while you're filming. If you use the GoPro 4 you can film in 4K, 1080p (120fps) or 480p (240fps)... This video quality is far superior to the Casio line, but the biggest advantage would be to continue looking through the scope instead of a screen. I haven't used one yet, but I would very much like to get hold of one soon and compare. They are just so expensive!

I looked at the Eagle Eye by Torrey Pines as well, but for the cost a person could by another good air rifle. I don't think I have ever seen it under $1K. I would like to get my hands on one and study it up close. I might be able to make one. I saw a review on this one time, but I don't remember where I saw it. It did not receive an outstanding review at all. I believe the person reviewing it said looking through the scope was not a real good image.
