Kralav Puncher aka Jkhan Noblesse/Evanix Rainstorm

While reading about Jkhan and Evanix air rifles on our EU forums new gun from Korea has hit our shores with markings on the receiver made in Turkey. Hmmm.. But at the price point of 400 euro this may be the best deal on Jkhan/Evanix Rainstorm guns going. They have even included an adjustable transfer port.

They have been busy, busy over there at Hyundai OEMing air rifles for importers around the globe. These rifles have sold under many importer names here in the UK such as Webleys, Prestige and Armex.
It is my understanding that Mr.Simon Atkins from west midlands worked on the development of these guns for Webley originally when they sourced then from Evanix. He is also the man behind the Logun S16 design.

Koreans just want to increase sale volumes worldwide by hooking up all these new importers. Little they understand that they also devalue their established Evanix brand this way.
For us consumers it is good though, expect Jkhan and Evanix to lower their prices. Kralav has priced them right out of the box. Got to respect that.

Pcpgunman: If you bring something as parts or declare it as raw material and assemble and package it in the country of destination that legally allows a company to claim it is made in the Turkey, USA or whatever. Several Swiss watch manufacturers recently have been exposed where they really make their internals, watch cases, etc.
Some manufacturers used these trade loopholes for years. They forget that we live in the information age and it is best to play fair not to look stupid afterwards.

It makes me reassured to see that some our well known air rifle manufacturers are stating that their rifles are 100% made in the UK.

Whoa! Missed that :)

Diesel, From what is posted, machine work looks exactly like on Jkhan and Evanix parts. Wood checkering also. This is not made by a Hatsan. This is Hyundai Korea all the way.

found some pics online of Evanix parts. Add yours if you have disassembly images just to compare

Jkhan owners pop your guns open and lets see some pics what you got inside.

Again Tactical, like in many other threads of other guns you just like to spin things out there regardless if you know for a fact or not.

BTW you seen very proficient at searching the net and all your experience seems to derive from that.

The Kral is Turkish mate, they copied the basic Evanix designs and produced a rifle that looks like a Rainstorm in many parts, but it's not Korean/Evanix made, just because it kinda looks like it.

the Turks realised that overall design is more appealing than the current Turkish offerings so the made a blatant copy.

Stop spreading missinformation.

If in fact this is another version made by Hyundai OEMing then it will only devalue their flagship lines. But why would they sell them under different brand names? Why not just push the Evanix line? Are they trying to saturate the market? Or are they selling the design plans to other manufacturing corporations?

A few thoughts:
  • I've owned one Korean airgun, and I've shot a few others. They are built well, on a flexible platform, and will allow the end user a decent amount of tuning capability.
  • Copying someone or something is the highest form of flattery. So the Koreans must have done something right.

Michael, Only an insider would know their reasoning. Why did Hyundai release Jkhan brand? Perhaps they offer OEM manufacturing services to any dealer - importer. We shall watch and see what will develop out of these Krals. A full disassembly and parts comparison will tell all.

There is no question that Kral uses Hatsan also as a source for parts, their synthetic stocks, and open sights. But metal parts at least to me look like Korea, I highly doubt these are just copies.

"OldTimer"Everything Tactical posted on Taumen turned out to be true. Can you prove what you are saying to be true that Turks have copied Evanix?

I'm not the one that needs to come out with Proves,
1st of all it say made in Turkey not Korea, it's a copy in many respects but there's plenty little different things so you can see that those part haven't been machined by the same machinery.

There's a high level of conspiracy theory from a few members for sure, and than put out as facts.

First reports on EU forums state that this is a Jkhan with a different breech block style. Barrels are unchoked, appear to be made by Hatsan. Barrel ends are threaded to 1/2X20unf.

Kralav will be at your Shot Show. You gentleman will get to see them first hand and tell us what it is. Their going rates in Turkey look extremely good http://www.gungorav.com.tr/store/producttags.aspx?tag=%20%20Kral%20PUNCHER%20Fiyat%C4%B1 with prices starting at about 200 euro and going up to 320 euro for "max power units" = FAC versions. EU dealers are asking 450euro or £500. US prices should be similar.

Synthetic stocks sure looks good on these
