JSB 25.39gr different skirt thickness and length

I made two different orders for some JSB .25 cal 25.39gr. After zeroing my scope and almost finishing one tin. I opened another can and dumped about 12 pellets into it. Started shooting the new can and my POI shifted down to the left about .75 inch at 30 yards. I than examined and measured the two pellets.
One had a thinker skirt and was .009" longer. The other one had a much noticeable thinner skirt and was shorter.

On my AT44 short the thicker skirt and longer pellet group better and more accurate by about 15%.

Things I notices on the labels:
Thinner skirt and shorter pellet. (The red label was faded and lighter in color).

Thicker skirt and .009" longer pellet. ( The red label is much darker in color and writing is more sharp.

This is consistence to the other 7 unopen cans that I have. Only two out of 8 cans had thinner skirt.

For 30 yards the grouping is very close. However if you if you don't want to adjust your scope inspect and match the pellets when opening a new tin.

Just received 4 new tins of .25 cal JSBs 24.39s from PA. They have the thin shirts (which My Marauder prefers). I have a few tins of the wider skirted ones that I will leave in the cabinet for emergency use some day. I have done a few test in the past and again this last weekend between the two. Just for my own interest. Seeing as I have been using the thin skirted ones and my rifle is zeroed in at 50 with these. They are my base. The thicker skirted ones stated pulling to the right and low at 30 yards. At 50 yards, they were about 1/2" right and 1/2" low. Not really any difference in accercy. About the same group sizes. I weighted 10 random pellets from an older tin of thin skirts that adverged 25.6, new tin of thin skirts that adverged 25.6 and new tin of thicker skirted pellets that adverged 25.5. Not a lot of difference in weight. Maybe I will do a little more testing to see if there is a difference in head size and fps. I didn't notice more deformed Skirts on the thin skirted pellets over the thicker one.
