Is this a good scope

Yes 

It is a mid-level scope for PCPs. Why not go for one with reticle and turret sub tensions in the same unit. Nowadays there are so many choices in the $200-300 bracket.

I have the same scope in 3-12 on my 34 and like it a lot, in fact I'm considering replacing the Mueller on my 48 with the 6-24 in the link.

6-24 seems like a good mag for everything, down to 6 for hunting and 24 for target work

Hawk scopes are nice but the one in th link is for a pcp or springers 12fpe and under. I would not put that on any of my magnum guns. IMO. 

If your shooting let say 40 yards out to 150 yards its fine, it will also work ok at 20-40 yards set on 6 but better at longer distances.

Here is what I have learned as a newby here and I hope it helps.
What I don't like on a scope is a mildot reticle with MOA turrets. Why they do that is beyond me and a lot of us. If I may? I would suggest, Watch all of Joe's reviews on here,
Then answer the following:
Is your gun a PCP, or springer
What do you want from the scope at what maximum distance, adjustability, ie 1/8" 1/4" or 1/2" per click @100 yards of again, MOA or Mildot
Magnification is great as long as you understand the benefits and limitations.
Look into First Focal and Second focal plane
What reticle do you want? mildot, christmas tree? there is a 100 of them.
Are you going to use the reticle for hold over or use the turrets? then the ret? (i'm moving that direction)
Picking the right scope was as hard for me as the gun I bought! I just bought my third, It's not here yet and I have buyer remorse! LOL
