Unfortunately, you are like the rest of us having to purchase a rifle without shouldering it. Not 100% sure, but, I believe this is why you see alot of rifles up for sale after only being used for several months. I am within a days drive of several but it is difficult to commit the time. You might try to link up with a member near you and try out their rifle. There are some members in the Chicago area or maybe you could even team up with Ted himself! Best of luck!

PS- Used to camp up there all the time when my kids were small. We went into Baraboo to watch the fireworks and loved the Polish House Restaurant.

I thought there was a shop in La Crosse , but after just searching I must be mistaken. might be around Sparta and optisan scopes for some reason I recall there being a shop I wanted to visit out around there.
