Well...today went to my father's house and a big old 5 footer made the mistake of walking out in a field to sun himself. Big mistake. He measured 5 feet. If someone can explain how to post a picture I'll put it up. Also; anyone down here in Puerto Rico on vacation let me know and I'll take ya hunting.

We need to talk. There are a couple of us here in TX interested in coming down. We want to bring our pcp's. I've looked into shipping my gun to the FEDEX in San Juan. The question is do you have access to air. Tell me also about the permit process. If a license is required I want to get one. That means for the gun & to hunt.

I recommend usps as it is A LOT cheaper for sending stuff down here. I have a dive shop 20 minutes away from my house. San Juan is a 2 hour drive (I live on the northwest tip). From my house. I would be more than happy to take your friends and yourself hunting.

Kitplanenut...for me that's what it's all about. Not hunting by myself or target shooting, but being able to make friends and travel and have them travel around the world with friends made on forums. I made a really good friend on another forum after selling him a rifle. After talking a year I am flying up to louisiana to go hunting in December with him and he will be down in january hoepfully to do some iguana hunting. Again; anyone wanting to hunt down here I will be more than happy to take you.

Ztirffritz- thanks for the map reminder. I told you I met Mr Gadget as a result of the map. We have already met & I took him hunting. He is thinking about purchasing a Wildcat and I just happened to have one for him to try out. He has been shooting an air pistol and when he started hitting blackbird at just 50 yds, he was amazed. I think he is about to enter the dark side.

WOW! ....I really love the vib that this site and of course it's awesome members put out there, I am not a rich kid by any means but I love the thought that if I were to be able to travel that I might be able to meet up with a friend in that area and maybe even share a hunting experience together!

1kshooter. Actually plane tickets are not that expensive to a lot of places. Rooms are cheap and food will be local food so cheap as well...I bet you could do a 4 day trip with airfare for less than 1k

They will fill to 3200-3300 locally.
Down south an hour from me there is a dive shop that fills to 4500

One of these days I'm going to make the 20 minute flight from St Thomas to Puetrto Rico, I still don't understand how on St Thomas the iguana is endangered and on Puerto Rico there is a population explosion. I can walk out in my yard in the afternoon and count close to 20 iguanas without hardly any effort to go looking.

Those things are considered a pest species in S. Florida. You might be able to find someone who will let you do some pesting on their property. I understand they eat pretty good also.

They are all around my property however, the Virgin Islands has declared them endangered species. I will make it to Puerto Rico one day or like you said south Florida. I will have my day, and bag me about 20.....one day
