If you could only do pesting on 1 animal which would you choose and why ?

In my part of Arizona it would be Gila Woodpeckers (not a protected species). They are very destructive and peck through the stucco finish on houses causing major damage. A house down the street from me had a hole above the garage from them about a half a foot square. Once they get a hole started they keep coming back to the same spot.

Rattus Rattus makes me itchus. I don't like em. Have had them in my attic and under the house at times, and now I feed em, and kill em.

Here in New Zealand I have shot a ton of goats but now it's mostly air rifle stuff. Hares because there is 2 1/2 times the amount of meat compared to rabbits. Last week I took three plovers, three rabbits, and three hares. All taken with my BSA sportsman HV in .22. Ranges from 4 meters to 75 meters. Cousin Dennis said there was game a plenty and he wasn't fibbing. Took about a couple hours which left time to fix his roof and get home before the better half got home. No squirrels here. Good hunting all.

"zerox69"Hey Hawkeye69 I didnt know wood peckers could be a pest . I just thought they destroyed trees only .. I thought that they would be like most birds and try to avoid humans at all cost . Very interesting .
Some species of woodpeckers also destroy fruit and nut crops.

@Yote we are of one accord ;)

We have a hard time with sage rats (belding ground squirrels) around here on the dairy. Thousands upon thousands and there just fun to shoot! Also tons of sparrows, starlings, eurasian doves and pigeons. Coyotes can be a problem but very rare in my area for some reason. However 2 years ago we had one attack one of my calves! Ate it's tail off and the skin off the back of it's leg. I was able to help the calf recover but man I was pissed! I have a .30 now just for them! It's hard to choose.
