How to… for Newbies and others

Greetings,
I wanted to say that I love the layout of this site and hope to get to know all of you better. I would like however on the behalf of newbies and others to have a “how to” forum and be able to search “how to” in the search bar . Thanks Michael for the vids of showing how to upload pics and video. This is my attempt tell how to upload, please correct me if I’m wrong. /’s are steps
/Go to site where you have links /copy link/ i.e https://youtu.be/GMMJY-4Zz4k /paste your link /preview your link /submit if good. Hope this helps, Keeneye
 
Thanks jfrazier30, I just sent Micheal a note. I tried searching for how to vid’s but came up with nothing. I saw them but now I can’t find them. Thanks for the email and I was trying to get it to show up on AGN. Any thoughts on what I’m doing wrong? Cant get my pics to work either. I will watch the link you sent to see what I’m doing wrong as well. Others have asked and I said I would help as soon as I found out how.

 I can post picture ( cut & paste then "prebiew" then post, BUT, I can NOT see video's, nothing nadda, anyone posts a video ( Micheals how to included) they is zip all nothing there. I use windows 10 . To see a video I have to "try" to figure out who/what name it might have been posted by then searcg google and or youtube. Likely just me but we have three Dell E6330 laptop's that all show nothing as far as videos.

Videos and Photos have to be hosted somewhere. If the videos won't play, it is probably an issue with Adobe Flash. Everyone is trying to dump Flash as quickly as possible, but some sites still require it, or default to it. YouTube for example defaults to Flash still. If you don't have Flash installed the videos will still play, but sometimes has a hiccup trying to look for Flash plugins.

Did you read what jfrazer30 said, Instead of the link that youtube gives for sharing, go up to the very top and click in the bar copy and paste it in the area, then preview, then submit. It should show up…If you don’t c it when you preview, then I don’t know what to tell you. 
I wish I could make my pictures smaller. Havent figured that out yet. I guess it has to do with the size when I upload.
Let me know if it works.
