How do You Ship

I use USPS as well unless the person I'm sending it to asks me not to. They seem to ship the fastest (and lets face it, the less time they have it the better) but it is usually a bit more expensive than Fed Ex in my area. Of course it all depends on where it's going and if you get insurance etc. I would recommend paying the few bucks for signature delivery so the box doesn't end up sitting on their doorstep all day unattended. Lots of mail thieves out there!

"puertorico"I also use USPS from Puerto Rico and have shipped from here to California and it' only around 70 bucks for a long gun. I recommend writing in sharpie the words "non machine" . They usually treat it a little better (that' what my post master told me down here).
That's a good tip! That's what I worry about the most is having someone launching my package around. There are horrendous videos on the tube with all sorts of delivery drivers "mistreating" peoples mail. I say if you hate your job then get a new one!!! Everytime I ship something expensive I obsessively track it until I know it arrived safely and then I can relax haha. Shouldn't have to be that way but it is....

A few of the long guns I've got from members here were packed very well but they had removed the stock to make the box shorter. I like that since it doesn't really look like a rifle box. I guess it would be a little more work but the ones I have received were really well padded using that method.

I'm interested in what you learn here since (I'm more of a buyer than a seller up too now) I have a couple of LGR and one or two FWB 300s that I may sell in a couple of months.
