How do you explain ... - Ted Bier?

How do i explain Ted Bier
Although I have never met ted but feel like I could do a 3 hour seminar on him. i will not go on for 3 or 4 pages in a post (might get ban for that) so i will give you "BULLET" points of what I think...no particular order.
1 Ted is smart and understands simple math.(yes algebra and geometry are simple math)
2 He works hard at his discipline.(practice, practice, practice) Not just in good conditions. Prob keeps a record
3 Good at tuning. Part of that is knowing what to tune for. (the down fall for most of us) ..EX. if i do A how dose it effect B,C,D He has done that and knows the answer.
4 A strong understanding of the laws physics...EX The same pellet traveling on the same trajectory at the same speed will hit the same spot. Unless acted on by another force. Gumby's law.....lol
5 Just raw talent (god given talent)
6 Just a little luck(and i mean small amount)
7 Surrounded by knowledgeable people. EX so are you there are a lot of smart knowledgeable people here
8 Just flat out "Want To".(You people who have it know what i mean)
9 Probably equipment is a small part ( I mean stuff you and I can't get) but it is not like luck, he made it with relationship
10 Ted seems to be a good guy, and a great shooter, and is one of the reason why a lot of us are in the sport.and it continues to grow.
All of this information is stored somewhere in a human shaped head joe might be right.... "CYBORG"......lol

Not to get off the subject but, It is an impact "tune the gun" is what the impact is all about. If you take your impact (if you own an impact) and adjust it in a like manner you can achieve the near same results....EX ...Pellet Selection.....Power Wheel.......Hammer Travel......Regulator Pressure..... all of these are adjustable by you "out of the box"
#9 He said longer shroud not.... barrel..... but it goes along with #3 if i do A... how dose it effect ...B,C,D
If you suggest we only shoot them "out of the box" they are not loaded "out of the box" (said laughing) i do get what you mean. Just not the case with the gun ted won with. It is not a shoot out of the box gun unless you want it to be. but load it first. Don't forget air.

Lmao guess I had that one coming... Well I was not suggesting shoot them out of the box only, I'm still wet behind the ears when it comes to air guns and tuning and i am trying to catch up with the terminology. No I don't have a impact. I shoot hatsan at44 that was tuned by Bwalton. Great gun and accurate but only one power setting. Thank you guys for the clarification on the shroud.

"pndofflesh"I guess I'm just new to all of this but how do you call yourself a good shot when your using a vise with calibration levers and in some cases an electronic trigger presser to do your shooting. Ted is a great shot and he knows his weapon inside and out now that is impressive!
By the way no offense meant to you folks with electronic trigger pressers and vises to do your shooting.
Im with ya on this one. Me, I take off my back pack and throw it on the table, ground, whatever and have a great time shooting quarter size groups at 25 yards with whatever I am using that day with my el cheapo Crosmans. In the bay beside me, the fella took a good 30-45 minutes setting up his table, dialing in his 32 power scope, locking his rifle in a vise and didnt do much of anything short of squeezing all day with some high dollar projectiles. Irony is, he could put 4 touching, then one flier that made his groups the same size as mine. To each is own, but I have no plans on carrying a table and a vise with me everywhere I go.

Ted is an amazing sportsman and I enjoy watching his videos, Congrats Ted!!!!

i am glad you got my post as humerus. (was how it was meant) I am not a pro writer and with no tone it sometime hard to convoy your message to another reader. Glad you took no offense. None was meant. It was just the facts in the most humorous way I could put them.

No problem. Only thing on the internet that offends me is reading the news... But I won't go there. No sense in getting bent outta shape, after all we need that humor to keep us going

Before he shoots any pellets there is a lengthly and time consuming process and ritual he goes through. He sorts them by weight/ weighs each and every one of the pellets and measures all of his pellets' head sizes and puts them into batches and only shoots the best fitting/favored pellets in his gun, that is why he never misses. He does not shoot JSB pellets straight out of the tins when he must shoot exceptionally well. THAT my friends is the reason it appears as though he is a much better shot than all of you here.
I do know for a FACT he uses a sophisticated pellet head measuring device called a Lead Head, I have one of them too and spoke to the manufacturer of it who is a long time accuracy fanatic who verified that Ted after using his device in 22 caliber for his Edgun Matador, bought one for 25 caliber for his FX Impact not that long ago around the time he posted videos of his newly acquired Impact. He will never willingly share this information because he can be beat by it because everyone would be able to sort perfect shooting pellets to shoot at long range in their guns just like him. He can never be beat if other shooters only shoot JSBs straight out of the tins.

This device, the Lead Head measures head size to the 0.0001 according to the manufacturer. I also have a Dan Brown air gauge and I can confidently state that if everyone has either of these devices and took the time and effort to weigh ALL OF their pellets and sort them according to weight and head size, sub one inch groups at 100 yards will become the norm with half inch groups on occasion too.
