Been serious about airguns for about 16 years now. Grew up with guns in hand. Started with a Daisy 880 when I was 10 (37 years ago), then a Sheridan .20 and of course rimfire (etc, etc). THEN.. I found a Beeman catalog when I was about 13. Might as well have been a playboy magazine! Decided one day, I would own one. Fast forward a few years and started my "adult air gun" journey with a RWS 54 from cabelas. A few springers later, I made the switch to pcp with a Daystate Huntsman, which was sold to pay for a Ripley XL-9, which was sold to pay for a Rapid and I could go on and on!

The older I get, the more I love air guns. I shoot thousands of rounds at my home range and the neighbors don't know or care. Beats packing up the PB's, driving to a public range to be barked at by a range officer and for what? Once you get past the macho crap (the noise and power) and focus on the joy and challenge of shooting, it's a life changer.

These days I've all but quit PB and hunt almost exclusively with airguns. Everything from garden pests to whitetail deer. Life is good!

well, my experience resounds so many others here.......... owned a Crosman 1377 since I was a kid. Man, I loved that pistol, pump it up and snap one off! from there I have been on the search for quiet....... here comes the Daisy 953, a single pump that opened up my world to accuracy! From there I purchased an airforce condor. Whoa, what a jump to the PCP realm.

Once I was hitting cloverleafs in my 30 yard back yard, without alerting my neighbors the game was on..... how small/short could I go without sacrificing the noise/power. I do have a small flock to protect :)......

My chickens have brought upon the family; skunks (no troubles), hawks (get a pass), RATS (gods scum of the earth) and coons (good night irene). That the .25 airforce talonP and .22 mutant std have eradicated. I must say that I am most impressed with the quietness that is involved. Part of the reason that I jumped into the sport was that they (airguns) were easy to obtain and were quiet! I am really impressed with the amount of workmanship involved in the manufacture in each of our guns and also mostly in the accuracy!!!!! Did I mention accuracy, I am still amazed in how accurate these guns are able to project. Coming from the powder burning realm it is nothing short of an engineering marvel how pellets are able to stack on each other at 30-60 yards. I love this sport!

thanks for sharing my experience

its real simple scarce ammo , than the ammo scalping began really pissed me off . my first real air rifle was a rws magnum 350 .177 . then i sunk into the quicksand from there . i have an fx wildcat .22 , the affor mentioned rws mag 350 , benji mrod .22.177 and a prod .22 . and rws 34p .22 weihrauch hw50 .177 ,hw 95 .22 and rws lpo8 mag pistol .177. my favorite of all is the hw 50 .177 i cant put it down great for backyard plinking .

Daisy lever at 8 years old purchased from the proceeds of peach sales I made. My granddad got me a Benjamin .22 pump at age 10 ............skip a lot of years to 1.5 years ago then came Matt, Ted and a slew of other YouTube tempters who coerced me into not only PCP ownership / addiction but becoming a PCP Sith Lord (dealer) as well. Now I am HEAVILY invested in PCP's!
