How did you get started.

All started many many years ago with a red rider B.B.gun And just about every daisy and cross man pumps and co2'S . With in the last year 2gamos 1 25 cal hatsan springer then Teds hold over. With in the .last 6 months 1 disco package deal 1 condor ss and hill pump couldn't pump the hand pump didn't work out so good now comes omega super air compressor and guppy tank. Ok not done yet .lots of air on hand just bought a Kral puncher breaker 25 cal.

Guns of one sort or another, air, bb .22 long growing up. I had elbow surgery four years ago. During my four month rehab I had lots of time to surf, read and learn all about the wonderful world of Adult airguns. Two months after going back to work I owned a marauder, hill pump and 20 different types of pellets to test. Three months later I shot my first FT match.

Today I own a tuned EV2( among others)shooting jacket, bum bag, trigger sticks(x2), chrony, portable bench, scuba tank, sand bags, a bunch of targets, a 55yd lane behind the house, a tool kit for airguns, orings galore and so on. I could keep going with the scale, pellet gauge blah blah blah.

Once you find that airgun dragon you will chase it forever.

The reason I got into airguns boils down to politics really.
I found the sport of shooting and liked it. Ammo was expensive. Then, ammo (especially .22) was basically unavailable. I wanted to continue shooting and ended up picking up a springer. That was short lived, as springers require a unique discipline to shoot accurately. But, PCP's are very accurate and.... What's this guy Ted doing? Is he really showing a pigeon in the head at over 100 yards with a "pellet gun"?
Yeah... downhill from there.
I now own over $17,000 (new retail price) of "pellet guns". That's just the rifles, not the accessories. Waaaay more than my powder burner collection. I wouldn't want to list them all and jam up the search engine. lol
1st springer = Bad experience... Ruger air hawke elite. I literally gave it away in order to get away from it.
1st PCP = Benji Disco
Favorite = Unable to answer. They all have unique skill sets. But, the FX 400 and Wildcat are at the top.
Happy Shooting!
Tom

What made me get into it was being able to shoot in my backyard on a whim. Every time I would pull out the powder burners and head to the range or country it just took time and work. I started out with a million FPS Cabelas springer that was not pleasurable to shoot. Ya I'm American more power is good...... Right? Wrong!
I also came across Ted having so much fun, it made me want better. I started with a AA TX200 and went to PCPs. I also like how it is something of a smaller community. Shooting airguns makes you study ballistic characteristics and turns you into a better shooter all around.

I started with powder burners shooting at a local range and a little bit in my yard until my friend came over with his Marauder one day. It was so quiet and didn't bother the neighbors or dogs and it's all downhill from there.

Once I discovered the YouTube channels then my wallet really started to hurt. I've recently upgraded to an FX Impact and I'm working on getting that set up just how I want it.

The ammo is so cheap and it's so easy to just pick up and shoot now - my kids have started expressing interest in shooting so now I've got a .22 prod on the way for them. lol

Great thread. A feral cat was coming around our house trying to eat our cats food. Being the protective father type I am, I said, "no cats gunna mess with my litter girl", and so I went out to the local big box store and bought a Daisy 35 multi pump. Then a Daisy Powerline 901 multi pump. Looked into how these things work and the world of accurate, powerful, and expensive air rifles opening up to me.

Hatsan's next, then FX's, and now RAW's. Like Tom says, they all have their strengths. But, oh my, the RAW's are sweet.

Daisy lever at 6, then crosman pump at 12. Then many powder burners. I love 22lr and was planning on getting a silencer cl111 device. I looked on YouTube and searched silenced 22 to see what folks liked. Lo and behold I found that infamous villain Ted and his passion for holdover. I said what the heck is he shooting with. Awareness breeds discontent! Oh well. I started with a .22 marauder to make sure I liked the sport. Went to a Verminator .25, then to my current Wildcat .22 with Huggett to get the best tool for me. Only have one, but it gets it done!

I could not buy rimfire ammo several years ago. Bought a 10m pistol from PA. Like it so much. I bought an AA S200 air rifle and a hand pump after reading good reviews. Liked shooting air rifles, bought an AR20FT for accuracy backyard bench shooting. Tried field target in fall of 2014 and now I am hooked ever since. Turned to sub 12 foot pound energy springers since I did not want the hassle of refilling the air tank every 80 shots. I can shoot continuously until I get tired. I love the knock down field targets especially. I collected so many of them I decided to hold FT matches.

Worked my whole damn life away I'm 66 years old and retiring from my business pretty well. I've been shooting handguns and some military-type weapons for some years. it gets real expensive. So I bought a Marauder and love the fact that it was so accurate, quiet, and I could shoot it in my Backyard. Of course, I've got a couple of Acres. I broke down the other day and ordered a wildcat and there I go that's my hobby for retirement and I love it! And it of course she gets pretty expensive as far as the guns go you just can't get away from the money!

My first gun was a daisy lever action BB gun that I still have today. I have some good memories of learning to shoot and of course gun safety. I had a crosman multi pump when I was a teenager and then years later a Benjamin 392. Soon pumping in between shots got old and a break barrel was looking mighty good. So I traded that 392 for a Remington vantage springer. I miss that 392 now but owning that springer really turned me on to airgunning. I just love to shoot and testing all the different ammo for each new addition I got was so much fun! These days my pcp guns are my top dogs, but I still enjoy shooting all my guns. Even the ones I have to pump lol.

I bought a Daisy 880 for pigeons, wanted something stronger so bought a Winchester 1000 .177.
Used this for several years on rabbits, etc. Sold it to my neighbor.
Then one day I saw an FWB 124 Sport .177 for sale and had to have it. Great gun, easy to shoot and very accurate.
Then I decided I needed a .22 so I bought a Diana 34, another great gun.
Then I wanted something a little more powerful and found a Benjamin NP XL 1100 .22 and thought "this is what I was looking for" but then I found out that for $60 I could convert it into a .25 cal. Now we're talking bigger & better.
Then I went to the 'Darkside' and bought a Marauder .25 PCP and I think I'm finally done buying.
In fact, I'm going to start selling !
