Help me find a scope for an FX Impact

I managed to get my hands on a silver Impact in .22 caliber and now I'm looking for the right scope. I've never had a rifle this nice before and I don't want to but bad glass on it so I've been looking at scopes in the $500 to $600 range.

I've been looking at the MTC Viper Pro and the Hawke Sidewinder Tac 30.

Does anyone have experience with either of these? I like the concept of the gearbox turret on the MTC but I don't see too many reviews out there and I'm worried it might be a hassle to get the custom tape made.

I have the Sidewinder and I'm waiting on the MTC Viper pro. Apparently there is/was a national backorder on the 3-18 model. I had the 5-30 for about 5 minutes before I decided to send it back for the 3-18. I found the 5-30 to be a bit too long and heavy for my use. But, I'm very excited to try out the geared elevation turret. I guess the overall downside to the Viper is the weight. But, the additional weight is probably due to the turret feature, primarily.
The Sidewinder is a great scope. I'm currently running one on my most accurate rifle. There's not too much to comment on them. Good scope, good glass, decent price, functions how it should... everything you'd expect from a decent scope. I do like the fine lines and the size of the reticle on the 20x. It's nice to have those lines extend so far down for the really really long shots.
I think you'd be happy either way.

The Hawke's are a good scope, but at the higher magnification the glass starts to get "milky". I never noticed it until I looked through my friends Sightron SIII. I have an Athlon Argos and for the price they are great scopes, and even First Focal Plane.

Many people on here seem to really like the SWFA scopes, especially the HD. It all depends on what you're going to be doing with the gun.

Congratulations on joining the Impact club. Now the barrels will suck your pockets empty.
