help choosing

Hello all, new member here.
I am not new to airguns but I am definitely new to pcp airguns! I have had 10 pump single shots for years. Recently bought a silent kat break barrel but not thrilled with it...
anyway, after much reading on this forum and watching reviews I have narrowed my choices down to 5 guns....sure I wish I could buy them all...lol but lets be real, I ain't made of money!
I will be doing 2 things with the gun I choose, bench shooting with the wife at paper and whatever else targets (something we can actually do together) and hunting/pesting
The main quarry will be rats and squirrels. I am thinking I would like to be able to shoot a coyote as well but if that's not really in the cards due to power then I have other guns for that. yeah I know I can get a .30 but that's overkill for my previous mentioned quarry...lol.
I know this is going to be somewhat subjective, everyone has a favorite, I'm looking for the good, the bad, and the ugly on these guns....(Maintenance) I need a gun that will be forgiving as far as maintenance, meaning I don't want to have to clean it after every 5 shots! and is easy to clean and take care of. (Accuracy) I understand shot accuracy and grouping has a lot to do with finding the right pellet and the man behind the gun, I have plenty of experience behind a gun. I will do my due diligence with finding the right pellet. Which gun has the best barrels? (Power) I know they all produce good power, so not sure if there is anything to talk about here or not? (Maneuverability) I hunt in some pretty think stuff at times, hence looking at bullpups, thoughts?
SO, here are the guns.....sound off! lol
1. Airgun Tech- Vulcan 2. Kalibr Gun- Cricket 3. Taipan-Mutant 4. Ataman- M2R 5. FX- Wildcat

Looks like you have done alot of research already. I have no experience with the bullpups you have narrowed down....Im a rifle guy. However.....perhaps I can shed some light on the caliber. A very important question here is are you hand pumping or are you going to get a scba tank for filling? If you are hand pumping........a .177 would do you good for rats and squirrels......and give you more shots for your target practice. Pumping is not fun. If you are getting a tank......a .22 cal is a great all round caliber for game up to rabbit size and still gives you a good number of shots per fill. It will also stretch out there farther for target practice. I shoot my .22 pcp out to a 100 yards on paper.......and take squirrels out to 50 to 60 yards no problem. When your talking small critters like squirrels in a hunting scenario......the .22 will probably exceed your abilities. That is....walking thru the woods.....see a squirrel......now place a vital shot without a bench. Side of a tree standing headshot....I limit myself to 60 yards. Thats the distance I can hit a 1 inch spinner consistently using the side of a tree. More than enough power for small game and even raccoons with precision headshots. Move into the .25 cal and you have even more power and range. I would not recommend a .25 cal if your handpumping. The .25 will be good for racoons and such. Anything good for coyote size is going to be way overkill for rats and squirrels. Kinda difficult to combine the two. Given your description I would lean towards the.177 or .22 cal and grab one of your powder guns for a coyote. Can always go for a .30 later for larger game.

I have been leaning toward the .22 caliber just because I can get ammo off the shelf almost anywhere.... With the .25 caliber, I haven't found any places around me that carry it, although I admit I have not looked in Cabela's.
I will be using a 4500psi carbon fiber tank regulated to 3000 psi or just a 3000psi carbon depending on price point. I refuse to hand pump and I know my wife will not, she has a hard time pumping a the butter spray with her puny arms...lol
Eventually I will most likely get a second gun (if she loves shooting or not) or a compressor of my own. For now I will be relying on my local fire department if I can get the wife to sweet talk one of them into filling it..lol or the local scuba shop...and where I live there is only one shop!

With the pcp rifles you are considering and the accuracy your looking for........forget about finding pellets in town for any caliber. Your going to end up ordering and shooting jsb pellets.....trust me. Or a derivative of them such as air arms pellets etc. Sure.....in a pinch you can find .177 or .22 at the local brick and mortar.......but you will only do that once. Then you will keep plenty of jsb pellets on hand.

I will pitch in on caliber also, let's face it we are human and not perfect.
I have popped squirrel with .22 and have had to chase him around the tree for a second shot.
I'm not saying you should get a .35 (I hunt with a bulldog) but as to a .25 I would rather have overkill than Underkill

P.S
It's actually kind of funny to hunt with a .35 I haven't had a squirrel get hung up in a tree yet.... simply because when the .35 hits them it knocks them clear off the tree
