GRAPHIC! Dispatching Squirrels, groundhogs and a Chipmunk with a FX Wildcat .25

Hey guys,

Just felt like sharing some pics with you, shots were from a .25 Wildcat, ranging from about 40-70 yards out. Notice all were head shots. Yeah, I'm sure some of you are wondering what happened to that one squirrel. The phenomenon on that one particular squirrel is what I am dubbing "brain freeze". Let me explain. One winter morning here on the East coast it was about 20 degrees. I spotted our little friend on a tree about 50 yards out. I open the window, range him with my rangefinder, line up on him and put one on top of his head. He fell like a rock. I follow him down with my scope to see if there was any movement for a follow up shot if needed. Then I started to see this bright red object grow bigger and bigger by his head. Not really knowing what it was I heading off my stoop towards the squirrel. So what happened was the blood spurted out and froze up, forming a mound of frozen bubbly blood! That was a first for me, and I have taken my fair share of squirrels.
