Thanks! The idea was to get them to spots where I could have clean shots from a hidden position.....so they keep coming in. I saved a ton of scrap cedar I had after a deck build and have built a number of these around my property. Easy to move, place on a stump or brush pile, dump out...hose the blood out LOL Most are about 12" square with a rail high enough to keep the seed in and allow for a head shot when they lift their heads up. And they are all screwed together so when I completely shred a rail, I can just replace it.

I tried a new design recently, thinking about how they like to perch "high". So I built the "Tower of power". It has not worked so far, The cardinals and nuthatches sit on top and eat the seed while chippy still sits in the lower tray! Dang birds....go to the bird feeders!!!
