Good deal on amazon

Found this Hatsan Striker 1000x combo on amazon last evening for $119.47 out the door. .22 caliber with Turkish walnut stock, so it says in the description. Optima 3-9x32 scope Will go on another less kick-back gun for a scope that'll take a springer's punishment. Should be here with third tin of pellets I ordered for .22 cal Crosman 160 I restored by next Thursday. Stock is also checkered!

I got 2 of the Hammers scopes. be sure and check the adjustment wheel set screw for proper snugness. One of mine was so loose the adjustment knob was pushing off of it. take an eyeglass screw driver and check the tiny phillips grub screws on all of the adjuster knobs. They are hard to see, but if you look close u will see what I am talking about.

Well, darn. My order arrived from New E Shop on amazon today. But it's the 1000s version, rather than the 1000x advertised that I ordered. Not only that, but it's the wrong caliber as well. The 1000s they sent me is .177 caliber, rather than the 1000x .22 caliber advertised that I ordered. Now I gotta burn time with returns & all. I'm bummed. But, a lil bit ago, I found it @ Midway for $108.73 out the door vs $119.47 on amazon. So I'll get a refund back to my CC from New E shop when they contact me. The right one from Midway will be here on Tuesday at the latest.

Geeze, I'll try to remember not to order anything from New E Shop thru Amazon, way to screw up an order! I've got one in .22--actually an Edge (Vortex/gas piston) in the Striker Wood stock. Very nice shooting rifle after a couple of trigger mods. Out of the box both the 1st & 2nd stage are way too long. If you replace the 2nd stage adjustment screw with one just a bit longer. The screw hides down behind the trigger. Follow the inside/back of trigger to find it. Just be careful after replacing it until you get it where you want it and bump the butt a number of times on the deck with the muzzle pointed in a safe direction to make sure it's safe. Won't do anything for the 1st stage but the 2nd can now be adjusted for a nice clean short break. IIRC, the screw was a 3mmX14mm but don't hold me to it. Take the oem to the hardware and get one 2mm longer. I used an allen head button head screw & can adjust it without removing the stock. There's a fix for the 1st stage as well that's a little more involved but that's a different story for a different time...........lol.

I called amazon & they're helping with return/refund. The seller emailed me, offered to give me $40 to keep it. No deal, Lucille. I ordered the right one from midwayairusa.com, & it's scheduled for delivery today! Haven't seen the truck yet. Better price too! Amazon was $114.98, midway was on sale for $95.99! Oh yeah,...I'll finally get the .22 cal Striker 1000x in my hot lil hands any time now...

The Striker 1000x came in from midwayusa.com today! Not a scratch, tear or bend. Delivered right when they said it would. Here it is, mounted with a Hammers 3-9x32AO scope with 4-bolt rail. I removed the factory scope stop, thinking the 4-bolt rail would do the job.

And here, compared to my restored Crosman 160, both in .22 caliber;

Good to hear. I hope it will be? The back of the rail is past where the end of the scope stop was to get proper eye relief. I turn the scope mount around backward to achieve that position as well. I have to weigh them on my digital scale, but it seems like the Hatsan is about 1.5lbs heavier than the Crosman?

Those reviews pushed me even harder into extreme craving for it! I've got three tins of pellets so far to try in it & the Crosman 160; H$N Sport Baracuda Green, domed, 12.65gr, Gamo Rocket, copper center domed, 14.3gr, & RWS Superpoint Extra, 14.5gr, pointed dome. I realize they're pretty close in weight, but the styles/quality are different, so we'll see on video as soon as I get a place to shoot or new range finally opens up.
