...anyone try one of these on their Field Target WFTF 16J rig ?

"SRay53txtn"I have one on my 284 F-Open LR rifle (600-1000yd), never thought about dropping it on my Cricket 25.

Would work , 'cause the minimum focus is > Parallax Setting 15 to Infinity ...and if you fit a Leupold close focus adapter , it'll come down to 10 yards...(ideal for field target) but not necessary on your Cricket 25....but do post us a picture if and when you mount it on the Cricket ?

Not correct buddy

March 8-80X56 is used for targets in Field Target between 10 and 55 yards...

More common is 10-50X60 Sightron SIII

the rifles are set at 12 ft/lb.

Right. I have tried 1 at Invicta as well as 45x custom Leupold , the March display wet up at the GOB World's was outstanding and mounted shake free on a Nice tripod, very steady- I did say "As to too much mag, cant really happen.". Best I ever used was One of the Slades OLD Tasco 50x custom shop scope, so clear, so sharp and snapped in and out of focus with way under a 1 foot distance, o to 55 yards. Amazing .
""I" couldn't use it ( any scope) much above 35x or my heart beat blacks my eye sight" meant to read like a personal issue, as it is. I also shake so badly standing high x isn't for me even thought I need 20x just to see a KZ. Benchrest I'll take a clear 50-60x everytme. Now lend me your kit at a match and I will happily give it a go no matter what.

John

I have a couple of them and it is a fantastic scope. I like to be able to clearly see pellet hitting the paper at 100+ yards.

Vortex GE it's over priced at 1999 now, trijicon ten mile 5x50x56 is a much better scope, to my eyes I had the golden eagle got rid of it, it's not what I call ed glass, kinda dark, the trijicon ten mile is bright on a grey day, actually the trijicon on a grey day is better than the vortex on a sunny spring day, but also depends on your eyes we all see diff and to some the Vortex may be great down on the 40 to 45x it was good but nothing like the trijicon,,,Tract Toric has Schott Glass they are clear it depends on your optic IQ as the guys say on another site, I'm just saying what I have seen and used don't be offended one scope I love is the Kahles 10x50 it's nice. plus I'm just getting into air gun and it seems like it's gonna be fun, trying to learn all the sides of air shooting,

Not to hijack this thread
but any temperature shift with the Trijicon ten mile 5-50X?

I would choose the Vortex GE but the 15 yard min parallax... hmm just wish it was 10 yards...without having to resort to a Leupold close focus

Kahles 10-50...another good option...but at $3K...I'm starting to think March

I used to really like the GE, but agree that I do not like it as much after the price increases the past several years. When you could get them for max of $1100, they were one of the best deals going.

It has its place, and there are many factors that can affect the decision, like weight, so it isn’t a bad deal. Luckily, you shouldn’t have to pay $2k either, regardless of MAP. If you were going to pay that, I would get the used Kahles 10-50 at a max of $2300. Agree on that!! To my eyes, amazing scope. My favorite.

How clearly can you see .22 holes at 100Y?

How sharp is the scope at full magnification?
no problem with the Golden Eagle, plus you can go inside the 22 hole with the small dot on scope, look through some high end target scopes you will find one that fits your eye, they cost a little but returns for being able to see out weigh the cost

March is coming out with a new 8x80x56 with double ed glass, kinda like everything else a rabbit hole when you dig deep, money money money, there is a write up in Acc Shooter about the new March 8x80
