Gamo Urban .22

I have a Gamo Urban, it keeps the squirrels of my tomatoes And that was my first PCP gun. I didn't expect a fine sporting rifle so I was and have been happy with it.. I don't have a hand pump either but my friend has one and I tried it for S & G one time. I had problems with the fill probe leaking from the motion of everything. I also reload so for me if you have no ammo it doesn't matter which gun you shoot. The cheap Chinese compressors will fill guns nicely and probably top off a guppy tank but are no good for hi volume use.. I heard somewhere it takes about eighty strokes to fill a gamo to 3000 from 2000 but I am old and don't have that kind of time. I don't know how easy it is for you to get air but I got the ammo source first, ie compressor loll. At least it keeps me out of the bars. Happy hunting.

I have this gun and it takes me about 60 strokes to fill from near empty. When I fill from 1000 psi it only takes about 40 pump strokes. I would call it easy until pumps 30 through 40, then it is some work. I own a tank but use the pump most of the time. Hope that helps.

My story.My first pcp was a disco put the tko moderator on it did the 3 screw tigger mod deadly accurate at 40 yards and filling from 1000 to 2000 was a piece of cake (25 shots ) Bought the condor ss Lot more power shot count was around 40 shots from 1500 psi to 2700psi trigger was bad and don’t let anyone fool you hand pump sucked.Newist toy is the wild cat my only to complaints was no moderator and having to use a had pump I bought the hill pump got a little bit Easier but still was a pain in the butt.Yup in the end I bought the omega compress now I’m a happy camper.So my 2 cents is buy the disco easy to pump very accurate to 40 yards plenty of power for some game and a joy to pump up.

Urban takes bit of effort to pump from empty, but once you have it full topping up is much easier, Usually shoot 40 good shots, before having to refill ( JSB 14.35) Most accurate... Can adjust power by adjusting hammer spring tension, can go over 800 fps easily, I have mine set at 760 -790 FPS shooting sub 1 inch groups at 35 yards, 1 mil dot drop at 50 yards...Great gun, once you have settled the gun in, I have free floated the barrel and the gun is a tack driver - Here are two ten shot groups at 35 yards outdoor off bipod JSB 14.35, cleaned, lightly lubed but unsorted...I do not regret this gun, great barrel, will be removing LDC and putting a carbon fiber shroud and LDC on it...

Since my previous post my Urban has really grown on me. I hand pump to fill more times than not and I find that helps me get a little cardio. No problem. I had a .25 Marauder and sold it because it was heavy and not so much fun to lug around. I never shoot from a rest of any kind.
