FX WILDCAT MAG HOLDER IDEAS.

I have a wildcat .22 and have 3 mags for it and have already lost one of them twice. I was able to find them laying in the yard after I layed them down, or they fell out of my pocket, or whatever happened. I need a mag holder. And I don't like the one that goes in the stock hole. And don't really want to pay $75 for an accessory to hold an accessory. So my question is has anyone come up with a do it yourself solution to my problem? Or know of a cheaper alternative that doesn't ruin appearance of your weapon? Any advice you guys have is always appreciated. And I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem.

I use a cell phone case from the Dollar Store for the magazines for my Mutant. I clip it to my belt. It comes with a piece of white foam and I leave that in to keep the mags from moving around.

I have the one that goes in the stock hole. It works really well, the mags are at your finger tips, and I don't think it adversely affects the gun's appearance. That said, there are at least two other mag holders I have seen that attach to the scope rail. I think if you do a search here on the forum you will be able to find them.

I have the 3-magazine holder that fits in the stock made my John Brewer. http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/interest-in-magazine-holder-for-wildcat/
It worked well at first by now falls out of the stock occasionally. I have been adding electrician's tape and am up to 3 layers and it is still loose. Does anyone else have this problem and a solution.

I first purchased the mag holder that fits in the stock and holds 3 magazines. It worked fine until I left the gun in my truck on a hot day. The heat warped the plastic mag holder and ruined it. I purchased two of the aluminum magazine holders from "MATT247365". Matts attaches to the gun better and holds the magazines more secure. Great product!

Ravenred, that was one of the smartest and simplest solutions I have ever seen! Bravo!
Perhaps a bit of black electrical tape on the shroud to avoid scratches........ or do you think it is no need for that?

Why Thank you! I had thought of that too but after I put a lite layer of white lithium grease on the shroud it seems to be ok. I'm always afraid tape will come loose and leave sticky stuff on my gun/mags But It's probably worth a try. I haven't used it for very long yet though so The jury is still out on scratching.

Cool Idea does it push on barrel shroud or rail? looks like accuracy could be effected
