What muzzle velocities are you getting with 18.13gr and 14.3g JSBs? Last check of my gun was 870 for 18.13 and if I remember correctly 920 for 14.3. Would like to get 920 with 18.13gr, but maybe unrealistic with just a hammer spring adjustment.

My average muzzle velocity over this 72 shot string is 895 fps with 18.1g JSB. Sorry, I've never checked the 14.3g JSB pellets.

880/890 range with the 18.1 grain JSB's, 920-ish with 16 grain JSB's. The gun likes the 18 grains a little bit better (fewer fliers).

I tested the lighter pellets to see what they'd do but now I only use the 18's.
Much more consistent POI with the slower, heavier 18's. If I were going to adjust my Wildcat, I'd slow it down a bit to where you are as opposed to pushing it up over 900FPS.

My 870 seemed slow, so just ran a few 18.13 gr through the chrony to make sure of my number. Results 883, 884, 891, 881, 887; average 885. A little faster than I remembered. Gun has been very accurate with 18.13. Have a hanging tin can at 97 yards which I can hit very consistently. So, yup, going to leave well enough alone. Haven't cleaned barrel since I December of 2015, 13 months and about 2000 shots or so. Going to clean and see if there's a speed difference.
Just before I submitted above, got the bright idea to check speed without LDC. 896, 887,894, 890 ,894, 893, 895; average 893. Does seem to make a small difference.
