Just put a huma reg in my royale 500, before this it was shooting jsb heavy kings at 730fps, put the reg in set at 140bar from huma and it shot around 750fps now i adjusted reg to 150bar and its still the same to me it almost feels restricted but i dont know where, a quick google search shows others with a royale 500 getting 860fps with jsb heavies. Hammer spring adjustment does nothing to remedy it, any ideas?

"carpp"yes it came unregged, I've checked transfer port and barrel alignment also put tissue on breech and no leak, I've turned reg up and there's little to no difference, do you have a link to the hammer weight for the boss?
Yeah I'm interested in this as well. http://www.fxairguns.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/FX-Boss.pdf

Looks like number 7 in the A drawing. 17003, maybe email or call AoA or Utah Airguns and see if they can get a hold of them. If you do please report back here, I've contacted them for a part for the Royale 500 as well.

In that case you will most likely have the small valve stem and valve seat, when you put a regulator in a R500 you will need the SHP valve stem and seat to make some serious power.
Factory regulated R500's come with the SHP valve as standard.
Item numbers are in the Verminator MKII's part list on the FX website.

Something else to check to make sure your getting all the horsepower you can out of the 500 and your new valve, once you get the action depressurized unscrew the stock bolt fitting and see what size thread that is. If it's an M5 thread it has a smaller air passage between the plenum space and the valve. The regulated guns use a M6 sized fitting which means the passage between the plenum space and the valve is 5mm ID. Bigger hole better flow. Mine had the smaller M5 so I ordered the M6 and drilled out the passage and tapped the whole for the M6 fitting. Another benefit to tapping it to the M6 thread is that you can buy a fitting that you can screw into the receiver to attach a gauge to, thereby allowing you to check the regulator pressure without dismantling the gun, pulling the regulator and finding a way to test it. You probably think I'm a real wiz bang FX guy but I learned all of this from Weatherby. He's your FX go to guy. If Photobucket wasn't holding all my good pictures hostage I would have shared those with you.

Here's a photo of the fitting, the M6 thread attached to a quick connect.

Hooked up to a good gauge to check the regulator pressure, Yup it was way too high..

And the difference in valve sizes..
