First shots with my new Evanix Rainstorm .30

She has a Hawke Varmint 4-16 with 44mm objective lens. Here filling her up for the first time. getting ready to see how it shoots. the target is 51.5 yards (used Nikon range finder). some better prospective. this was 4 shots and represent numbers 26 through 30 out of the new gun, the sun was going down, so i could only chronograph two shots, they were 888 and 877fps, I was hoping for a little more velocity. all and all I'm happy, the trigger is a little heavy with some creep that when once taken up does break predictably.

"travels4fun"Wow! Your Evanix Rainstorm is shooting at the same velocity as my .30 FX Bobcat. Accuracy looks to be quite similar as well. With the.30 Evanix Rainstorm II costing $850 less than the .30 FX Bobcat, I think I could forgo the ST barrel and regulator and use the $850 saved to apply towards another rifle.

Ah yes, another rifle.
