Finally got a chance to fire up the Freedon 10

I bought my Shoebox Freedom 10 about a month ago when I noticed they dropped the price to $499. I finally got around to using it today. I have to say I am very pleased. I was impressed on how fast it topped my tank off. I bought it thinking it was a "turn it on in the morning and come back at the end of the day" kind of a deal (which I was fine with). I accomplished what I needed in about 2 hours. Here is a rundown from my 68cf Tiger Shark tank at 2500psi:
10:12AM - started F10 with tank at 2500psi
11:15AM - tank at 3500psi
11:48AM - tank at 4000psi
12:06PM - F10 shut off at 4300psi
I did not try to adjust the auto shutoff feature to go another 200psi to 4500. Maybe next time but 4300 is fine for me. In the future, now I can fill myself, I will top off my tank when it gets down to around 3000psi. So I should be able to top my tank off in about 1.5 hours based on how it went today.

That's excellent, such a good feeling not having to run to the scuba store or what have you to get it filled huh? I LOVE having a compressor. That's quicker than I thought they were too.

A shooting buddy picked one up also, seemed like a simple choice. They are slower, but with years and many units behind them at that price no brainer. We are planning a project with a case that incorporates a little of all I've seen here. Something free standing and portable with the fittings and filters secured

I recently started using a new Shoebox F10 and I'm liking it too. Prior to the air entering the SB I have (in sequence) 70 ft air line, Harbor Freight Central Pneumatic 40 micron Mini Air Line Filter - item #68225, ebay Wilkerson Desiccant Air Dryer - X06-02-000, ebay Wilkerson 5 micron Miniature Compressed Air Filter - F08-02-SK00, 15 ft of air line and then a Home Depot Husky Air Line Desiccant Filter/Dryer. As air exits the SB it passes through another desiccant filter similar to those that come with Yeng Hong compressors. After the fill 50% the Wilkerson Desiccant Air Dryer silica had changed color, but the HD desiccant filter/Dryer had no color change. The high side filter trapped some silicone oil and the desiccant had changed color. I'll might add a molecular sieve on the high side.

Sure beats driving to the paintball shop and the wait time for fills. The fills were always hot and and they only gave me 1 more fill after short cool off period. By the time I got home the tank was down to 4250 psi.

Try a "Best Offer" of $25.00 and maybe a couple bags of filters too. Pack in as much desiccant as you can between the filters without crushing the beads.

That's the one I bought. Worked great and seems to appropriately sized for the F10. I added some silica beads in it and the first few beads next to where the air leaves the pump where slightly discolored but the rest were fine.
