Feeler for Interest in Proper Filter for PCP Air Compressor or Tanks

I have been working with Nuvair to come up with a filter equivalent to "A" popular filter.
It will be set up identically and overcomes the concerns stated about molecular sieve touching the filter housing.

It also will have a Back Pressure Regulator set to approximately 1900 PSI.

It will have male and female foster quick connects.
It will have a bleed valve and high pressure gauge.

It will come with a filter cartridge (Nuvair MCH6 )

They will be assembled using the information from this document:

Are there 2 other persons who might be interested in these.
If so PM me for additional details $$$.

Great idea good to get away from the Alpha filter company the place in CA. thatsells them is like a used car dealer.
the holder looks good
I get my filter cartridges from this company this filter is all that’s needed the filter you show is for breathing Air it will work but it’s overkill for air rifle use. The second link is comparable to your filter if you are using the Air for scuba.

"Centercut"Thurmond, I’m interested but it does need to be a better deal financially than Joe’s Alpha filter. Thanks for looking into this.
Mike.
I’m not currently in need as I already have Joes Alphafilter, when I purchased my Carette compressor from him he reduced the price of the filter to $299. That included 1 cartridge, a priority valve , a pressure gauge and the hose to connect to the compressor. I’m sure at $299 he was still making a profit. Why don’t you approach him about doing a group purchase and perhaps get other competitors to bid on it also. The important thing is that the components are certified by a reputable source of being able to withstand the high pressure. That is one reason in the past I stayed away from the under $100 units on eBay. If you do the group purchase I would and perhaps others also would be interested in the replacement cartridges. I only use 2 per year currently.

One thing I'm curious about.. How dry does the air need to be? Worthington specs -53C dew point or the cylinder should be re-inspected every 6 months. Grade E is -50C dew point.

Anyone have a specific target, other than "dry"?

Anyone send an air sample for testing? I'd love to see posts on what the dryness is of the air out of either the high end compressors, or the Chinese (low to high end). But at the end of the day, what is "dry"?

Do we need a filter based on a breathing air compressor, or are tampons good enough?

-50 degrees F dew point or better and no noticeable oil / lubricant smell would be 2 big items on my wish list. Basically If it is not good enough for my lungs I don't really want to use it long term in a high priced high pressure gun reservoir or storage tank.

What is needed is a filter package solution with clear cut instructions for achieving and maintaining these standards in low cost compressors that are proliferating rapidly.

The Alpha filter seems to be the current board leader at present (mainly due to marketing I suspect) but where is the measured data to prove it does as it says and under what conditional limits will it maintain the appropriate air quality?

An even better solution and a different subject would be one that also removed the O2 from the gas we fill our guns with since O2 can and will Oxidize metals which is an unwanted characteristic of the gas we use in our guns and why some users prefer pure dry N2 as an alternative gas. This could be achieved by pressure swing adsorption like used in oxygen concentrator's but would probably add significantly to the cost, complexity and potentially to the maintenance requirements of the compressors.
